Round 12:

Muppets 8 vs Imports 13- Match Stats

Imports just too good in a close affair at the Brook. Jack (13 tons) and Nev (10 tons) won 4 matches each for the Imports with Jack also hitting 2 x 17 darters. Stewy ultra-reliable as usual with 3 wins for the Muppets and John D Senior making an appearance and a 119 peg to boot.

Scorpions vs Bye – Match Stats

*No game for the Scorpions this week.

Raptors 4 vs Vipers 17 – Match Stats

Tough night at the office for the under strength Raptors as the Vipers ran riot. Matt (10 tons and a 100 peg), Pas (9 tons) and Glen (8 tons) all starred with 4 wins each. For the Raptors it was the one man band on the bagpipes with the wee Scot, Don “Dinga” Rennie winning 4 games with 7 tons including a 109 peg.

Dragons 12 vs Rat Pack 9 – Match Stats

A true arm wrestle of a match saw the Dragons prevail to see the Rat Pack lose their first league match of the year. Consistent darts from Ray with 17 tons, 4 wins, 180, 130 peg and 15 & 16 dart legs. Egdey a 180 himself with a 112 peg and Banz a 16 dart leg. For the Rat Pack Justin hit 13 tons including a 100 peg with 16 and 18 dart legs.

Nek Minit vs Bye – Match Stats

A bye for Nek Minit.

Jockys 10 vs Cannons 11 – Match Stats

Another quality encounter with the resurgent Jockys falling just short against a strong Cannons team. Needing 5 of the last 6 singles to snatch it the Jockys managed to get the game to 10-all before Mark Lee broke the home team’s hearts with a deciding leg victory.

Gary lead the Jockys with 4 wins from 4 while Ian grabbed 3 wins and joint-topped the team’s ton count with Derek, both hitting 5. For the visitors it was a good night for Gav (3 wins, 5 tons) along with a 2 wins from 2 cameo from Arthur,

Devils 9 vs Motley Crew 12 – MatchStats

Another win by the table topping Motley Crew but the Devils made them work hard for it. In a tight encounter MC won all the doubles but the Devils clawed back by winning the first round of singles 4 games to 2 to make it 5-4. MC returned the favour to open up a 9-6 lead but the Devils wiped it out by winning the first 3 games of the final round of singles. The final surge of the night came courtesy of Dan, Sam and Ross who were able to close out the victory.

Top Devil was Christian with 3 singles wins and 4 tons but mentions to Ash and Steve with two wins each, Steve hitting a maximum as well. Standout for the Crew was Ross again (8 (yes “eight”) tons) and Sam who won 4 from 4.

Javelins 16 vs Slashers 5 – Match Stats

Javelins too strong for a 5-man Slashers team. Some good performances on the Javs side of the scorebook with Bryan leading the wins & tons count (4 wins, 6 tons) with Max, Hugh and Luch adding 3 wins apiece. Always going to be difficult for the team of 5 but a brave effort from Anthony S who won all 3 of his singles games. A warm welcome to Anthony A who was making his debut for the Slashers.

Tri-Hards 12 vs Arrows 3 – Match Stats

The Tri-Hards made the table that much more compact with an inspired win against their local hombres. Jess (5 tons), Dave Render (4 tons) and Lyn (1 ton) won all 3 of their matches with Dom winning 2 and Denise 1 for the Arrows. Would be remiss of me not to mention Dom’s impressive bust on 172.

Gremlins 10 vs Wanderers 5 – Match Stats

The Gremlins jumped to a 5-1 lead and dug in not to be caught. Andrew with 4 tons and 3 wins continued his good form with Dave Hoy winning 2 singles for the Wanderers and whilst they have surrendered top spot the Gremlins are still to have the bye.
