Raptors 5 Vs Imports 15 Match Stats

Raptors ran into a rampaging Imports side who shared the doubles games but powered through the singles matches winning 13 of the 16 ties on offer.

The Raptors who battled hardest against extinction were Kate (4 wins, a 180, a 17 darter) and Liam (3 wins and 3 140’s).

Two Imports had 5 wins, Nev and JR who hit a 180 and an 18 darter while Frosty and James had their finishing boots on hitting a 114 and a 100 respectively.

Scorpions 12 Vs Stray Darters 8 Match Stats

An exciting contest at Chermside with the result in the balance before the Scorps won 6 of the last 8 games to take a deserved victory.

A strong all round performance for the winners with three players winning four times on the night, Glen, Brian and Pat.  Pat showed plenty of glimpses of what he is capable of with 4 180’s and a 18 darter, no more so than when he hit back-to-back maximums in one of the doubles game.  BA added a 115 peg.

For Strays standouts were Ciaran (5 wins and a 16 darter) and Banz (4 wins) while Kylie hit her 5th 180 of the season.

Red Scorpions 3 Vs We’re On 17 Match Stats

No respite for the Reds as they met a We’re On side firing on all cylinders.

For the Reds Bruce picked up a singles and a doubles win, a 16 darter and a 110 checkout, with Stephen adding a 180 along the way.

Quality all over for WO but there was none better than Horse who won 6 from 6 and hit a 16 darter as well.  Justin hit a 130 checkout and Aaron a 180, while Kingy and Horse combined for a 17 dart 601 doubles leg which comes out at a 106 three dart average.

Nemesis 13 vs Dragons 8 Match Stats

A gritty performance keeps them in third and on track for a finals spot. John won all his matches and hit 13 tons including a 180. Davo 3 wins (1 ton), Drew 2 wins (7 tons) and Donny 2 wins (3 tons) also pitched and a memorable night for Nessie who battled through Frankenstein’s shoulder syndrone and a zero throw to finish the night off with an impressive 2-0 win.

For the unlucky Dragons who are surely due for a win, Banga hit 10 tons, Craig 7, Paula 3 and Mick 2 who all secured 2 wins each.

Javelins 11 vs Nek Minit 10 Match Stats

Another A Grade cracker which saw both teams wrestling for the upper hand before the Javs grabbed the last two games and the win on the night.

For the visitors Blain and Shaun fought hard both winning 3 games and hitting 6 tons.  Top Javs were Peter (3 wins, 10 tons) and Tony (3 wins, 2 tons) with Max bagging a 112 out and Bryan a 17 dart leg.

Scorpions “B” 13 Vs Gremlins 8 Match Stats

The B’s were slow to start and were down 3 nil after the doubles but they found their table-topping form in the singles.  The Gremlins were still in it at 8-7 down at the start of the final round of singles but the B’s momentum carried them home.

Three B’s won all 3 singles games, Grant (11 tons), Joe (10 tons) and Tristan (9 tons).  For Gremlins Richard again shining with 3 wins and 5 tons including a 105 peg.

Motley Crew 14 Vs Devils 7 Match Stats

Business as Crew-sual at Wantima with MC running out 14 – 7 winners over the Devils.

Gary on song for the visitors with 3 singles wins and a 108 peg with Steve adding 2 circles and 5 tons.

Chris B (8 tons) undefeated with 4 wins and 3 wins each for Sam (4 tons and an A Grade season-high peg of 155), Ben (3 tons) and Ross (14 tons) being egged on to 16 and 18 dart legs.

Wanderers 4 vs Arrows 11 Match Stats

Arrows kept their narrow lead at the top of the table with a convincing win over the Wanderers who generously allowed the table toppers to play an extra player in the singles with only 5 Arrows turning. A very sporting gesture and that’s the spirit of the competition we want to engcourage so well done Wanderers. Mel and Nick won all their games for the Arrows with hitting 6 tons including two 140’s and Bob pegged 102. Dave for the Wanderers was solid with 2 wins and 2 tons with Lance also securing 2 wins.

Cannons 4 vs Jockys 11 Match Stats

An enjoyable tie at Chermside ended with Jockys proving too strong for Cannons.

For Cannons wins for Tom (4 tons), Adam, Jason (4 tons) and Lyn who hit a 120 with the other 60 points on the floor.

Three circle nights for Ian (8 tons), Peter (2 tons) and Clive (2 tons), with Gary hitting a 113 peg.

Raptors 8 Vs Stray Darters 12 Match Stats

A very even match was only decided when the Stray Darters took out the last two doubles.

Starring for the home team were Liam and Don with 3 wins each with Liam hitting a 180.

A cracking night for Dave with 6 wins, a 12 darter and a 132 peg. Not too shabby from Ciaran either with 4 wins and 3 x 180’s and a 125 peg with Kylie pegging 107.

Aha Gotcha 5 Vs Scorpions 15 Match Stats

Tough day at the office for Aha Gotcha who met a Scorpions side keen to head home, jumping to a 6-0 and then 9-1 lead.

Another great display from Jade with 3 wins and a 180 with Sean also hitting a 180, a 16 and 17 dart leg and winning one game along with Corey.

Brian 5 wins, 17 and 18 dart legs, Pat 5 wins and a 180, BA 5 wins, and a 127 peg and Glen 4 wins with a 17 darter.

Red Scorpions 6 Vs Dragoffs 14 Match Stats

On the back of last week’s win the Red Scorpions wanted more and were set to cause the upset of the season leading 4-2 but the next 8 games went to the Dragoffs and that was all she wrote.

Willy picked up a 180 and 3 wins and Michael 2 wins and a 105 peg.

Edgey had a solid night for the visitors with 5 wins and a 115 peg, Alex won 5 as well with a 17 dart leg with Carlos going undefeated in singles and hitting a 17 darter also.

Imports 7 Vs We’re On 13 Match Stats

We’re On kept the heat on the Dragoffs with a hard fought win over the Imports with the majority of games going to a deciding leg.

Justin and Aaron won 5 games each with Justin hitting a 180, 106 peg and a 12 dart leg, Aaron a 13 dart leg with Horse chiming in with 16 and 17 dart legs also.

For the Imports Jack won 3, hit a 180, 144 peg and a 15 dart leg. JR won 2 games, hit an 18 dart leg and smashed in seven 140’s.

A GRADE DOUBLES

In an all Javelins final it was Peter Kaapola and Keith Dodds who prevailed over Tony Welsh and Bryan Ohmsen

Raptors 10 Vs We’re On 10 Match Stats

Raptors once again involved in a rollercoaster match and ended up getting their second draw of the season against the very strong We’re On.  Things were looking tough when the visitors moved 7-2 up but the Raptors showed what they are capable of by reeling off 8 games on the spin.  Plenty of bottle shown by We’re On to take the last 3 games and a share of the spoils.  One of those nights where a draw is probably a fair result.

Starring for the home team were Liam with 5 wins and Kate with 3 and a 101 peg while Corey hit an 18 darter and a 117 peg.

For the visitors Horse (3 140’s) won 5 times and Justin 4 times hitting both a 20’s and 19’s maximum along the way.

Aha Gotcha 3 Vs Dragoffs 17 Match Stats

Aha Gotcha came up against an in form Dragoffs team who are league leaders for a reason.

A good display from Jade, who won twice with Corey picking up the circle for the termite troublers.

Carlos and Pat were on unbeatable form with Choppa picking up the trifecta with a 180, a 118 peg and 3 low games (12, 14 and 15 darts).

Imports 8 Vs Red Scorpions 12 Match Stats

Red Scorpions grabbed the 2 league points thanks largely to a run of 6 straight games over the first and second rounds.  This gave the Reds a 7-3 lead which they never relinquished.

For Imports Nev Snr hit 2 140s and won 5 times while Shane hit a 140 and won 4 times.

Winners across the board for Reds but topping the list were Willie and Stephen with 4 wins each.  Michael hit a 171 and 16 darter.

A GRADE Round 8 Full Ladder

Scorpions “B” 11 vs Motley Crew 10 Match Stats

The B’s move to the top of the table on leg difference thanks to the narrowest of victories at West Mitchy.  The home team was 6-3 up after the doubles and first round of singles. The next six singles were split three each but it the Crew weren’t about to give up their unbeaten streak without a fight and got things back 10-9 before Tristan got the B’s over the line.

Three B’s stood out with 3 wins from 4: John, (9 tons),Tristan (3 tons) and Grant (6 tons).

For the Crew Ross once again went unbeaten hitting 11 tons and a 105 peg and Chris B won 3 and threw 4 straight tons and a 140.

Dragons 6 vs Devils 15  Match Stats

An understrength Dragons team battled gamely but had too much to do against those dependable Devils.

Craig continues to throw well with 3 singles wins and a team best 5 tons on the night.  Mick also picked up a couple of wins and hit 3 tons.

Gary (7 tons) went best for Devils with 4 wins with Steve hitting 10 tons and winning 3 times.

Nek Minit 11 Vs Nemesis 10 Match Stats

Nek Minit showed that the race for the top 4 spots could go all the way as they tore up the form guide at the Brook Hotel.  The visitors hadn’t ever been in front until the decisive final double went in to make them 11-10 victors.

Dylan (3 tons), Mark (4 tons) and Ty (8 tons) all won three times while Shaun threw really well by all accounts.

Two players stood out for Nemesis by winning all four of their games.  Drew didn’t lose a leg all night, had a 100 peg, threw an 18 darter, hit 4 tons and a barrowload of 80-odds.  Ivesy laid down a huge MVP marker with a season high 17 tons and a 17 darter.

Javelins 13 vs Gremlins 8 Match Stats

Both teams entered the match on 6 points and it was Javelins who got the win and moved into the top 4 on the ladder.

For the Javs it was a real team effort with everyone contributing at least two wins but three time winners on the night were Peter (7 tons), Bryan (7 tons) and Keith (2 tons).

Two Gremlins had a great night.. Richard with 4 wins and 10 tons and Andrew with 3 singles wins, 5 tons and a 180.

Wanderers 6 Vs Jockys 9 Match Stats

A win that keeps Jockys at the top of the table thanks to a powerhouse first round of singles where they bagged 5 out of 6 and go three games ahead.  Wanderers got close thanks to a couple of early wins in the final round but the visitors middle order of Derek (3 wins, 2 tons), Peter (3 wins, 4 tons) and Gary (2 wins from 2) got them home.   For Wanderers Lance again showed what he’s capable of with 3 wins from 3 while Ashleigh grabbed a circle on debut.

Patrick took out a 120 checkout which is the first high peg of the B Grade season.
