BNSDC Season 2015 – Round 36

A GRADE – Full Ladder

Two Darts 17 v Imports 4 – Match Stats

Looks like Two Darts have timed their run perfectly and are about to get the whip out in the home straight. Greg with a 119 peg, 17 and 18 dart game, Alex with a 108 and Rick with a 180. The under strength Imports fought bravely with Shane hitting 10 and John 14 tons including a 180 and an 18 dart game helping him win 3 games.

Ex Pats 11 v Panthers 10 – Match Stats

Panthers got off to a flyer blitzing to a 7-2 lead and a win looked academic for the felines. But never write off the Hillbillies as they came thundering home winning 5 of the last 6 singles with Mick F and Donny securing what seemed an unlikely victory an hour before. Tristan threw 16 tons with 2 wind, Donny a 180 in his 8 tons with 3 wins and Stewy a 14 darter along with 3 wins and 10 tons. Another big night for Max with 9 tons, a 100 peg and 4 wins.

Dragons 14 v Javelins 7 – Match Stats

The Dragons all but ended the contest after winning all the first round of singles but the Javelins did claw it back. Greg and Mark E with 4 rings led the way while Keith F did his bit with 2 singles win. Without a shadow of a doubt, the worst score sheets of the season. so many conflicting circles I really have no idea which sheet is right. Were you guys all drunk ? The upside of the Javelins loss is that irrespective of the Vipers receiving a forfeit last week the ladder would not have changed unless they lost 21-0 to Ex Pats.

Scorpions 13 v Motley Crew 8 – Match Stats

This match was much closer than the score suggests with the Scorpions battling all the way to take the points. Young Dave Hill the only Scorpion to win all 3 singles with Scotty edging Horse on the tons 14-12. Scotty along with Dave and Brian hit 180’s while for the MC the artist formerly known as “King”, Richard Webber, had a cracking night with 13 tons and 4 wins to his name..

B GRADE – Full Ladder

Arrows 8 v Bulls 7 – Match Stats

The Arrows fell totally asleep as they conceding the last 4 games to reduce their winning margin to 1. Marty B made a welcome return winning all 3 games whilst for the Bulls, Glenn was unstoppable with 3 rings for the night.

Jockys 9 v Wanderers 6 – Match Stats

Top plays bottom in this home derby. After a long season in which the fortunes of each team took opposite directions, it was to the Wanderers immense credit that they took the fight up to the Jockys. Mick Kenny and Lance Albert had good games both with two wins a piece. David Hoy also triumphed against Jockys evergreen Gary Thompson in probably his best match for the season. Derek Smart had a rare off night missing out in both singles games. Interestingly, the powerhouse combination of Clive Allen and Ian Newton in the doubles failed to fire for the umpteenth time this year. They redeemed themselves however in the singles along with Josh Allen.

Slashers1 8 v Slashers2 7 – Match Stats

In the first of this week’s semi-final warm-up matches the Slashers 1 outfit knocked over their higher placed 2’s outfit in a gripping match with 16 players attending on the night, awesome. Nicky sealed the win with the last dart of the night to cap off a good night for him with 5 tons and 3 wins surpassed only by Corey who continues to improve with 6 tons and 3 wins. For the number 2’s it was Michael who won all his matches with Rean smashing out 7 tons.

Devils 8 v Tri-Hards 7 – Match Stats

The Devils won the dress rehearsal for this week’s knockout semi on the back of winning all the doubles and managing to hang on at the death with Dave and Justin clinching the victory after falling behind 7-6. Justin led the way with 6 tons, a 109 peg and 3 wins whilst for the Tri-Hards it was no surprise to see Marty notch a 180 as both he and Archie won both their singles but not before Vanessa gave Marty a hell of a battle. Banger also pegged 105 brilliantly … only problem was the goose had 103 left (sorry mate).

BNSDC Season 2015 – Round 35

A GRADE – Full Ladder

Two Darts 18 v Javelins 3 – Match Stats

A full strength Two Darts warmed up for the finals with a solid win. Alex with 106 and 107 pegs and Greg with 110 and a 155 to finish the evening. However both those two met Peter in sparkling form who managed to beat both 2-0 pegging 116 along the way and was poised to win his 3rd singles until Greg pulled out the 155.

Motley Crew 13 v Panthers 8 – Match Stats

Motley Crew may have sensed a touch of dejavu after going 3-0 up to find themselves reeled in to 5-4 but lessons learnt this week as they pulled away to win well. Richard was in ominous form, obviously had some hot competition during the week as he hit 12 tons and a 180. Sam and Aaron also had solid nights with 4 wins each. Gabe and Max lost their second doubles of the season scoring 22 tons between with Gabe going unbeaten in his singles.

Scorpions 13 v Dragons 8 – Match Stats

First versus third and Scorpions just too good on the night. Scotty starring with 4 wins, 17 tons, a 111 peg and an 18 dart leg, with Horse also winning 4. For the Dragons it was Arthur and Mark Edge winning 2 singles each (congrats to Mark Lee on the mystery bet win)

Vipers 21 v Ex Pats 0 (Forfeit)

Not the way the Vipers wanted to seal a spot in the plate finals but I think it’s the first time they have played a team with less than 6 players this season.

B GRADE – Full Ladder

Arrows 8 v Slashers1 7 – Match Stats

Arrows got off to a flyer but were pegged back to 5-4 before Banz sealed the victory with his 3rd win of the night. Edgar was solid again with 9 tons and a 123 peg. Slashers1 were scoring well and won the tons battle 25-22 with Nicky leading the way with 8. Corey and Liam with 2 wins each.

Jockys 10 v Slashers2 5 – Match Stats

An all round performance from the Jockys to win against the Slashers 2 side 10-5.  The Jockys are back in ominous form  for the finals with nearly all players hitting top form. Some excellent play from Rean Funnell for the Slashers and Derek Smart, Ian Newton and Gary Thompson for the Jockys..

Tri-Hards 11 v Bulls 4 – Match Stats

Tri-Hards confirmed their home semi in 2 weeks with an emphatic win over the Bulls. No surprises it was Marty with 7 tons and 3 wins who shone for the Tri-Hards. The Bulls were not far away all night with alot of matches going to 3 legs.

Devils 12 v Wanderers 3 – Match Stats

The Devils rollercoaster continues to gather momentum. Justin and Col with 3 wins each and Col also hit a 111 peg. For the Wanderers Lance hit a 180 (nice one mate) and after what must have been an incredibly difficult week Snow came out and nearly won 3 games.

BNSDC Season 2015 – Round 34

A GRADE – Full Ladder

Ex Pats 13 v Javelins 8 – Match Stats

The Ex Pats started slowly but came thundering to beat the Javelins. Solid team effort with 4 players winning 3 games and Ian hitting 8 tons. For the Javelins it was the consistent Bryan with 8 tons and 3 wins.

Two Darts 14 v Panthers 7 – Match Stats

No upsets this time around but a very impressive result from the Panthers. Alex and Rick hit 180’s for Two Darts with 17 and 15 dart legs respectively but the night was all about Max. 16 tons including a 180 and two 17 dart games with 4 rings. Awesome buddy.

Scorpions 15 v Vipers 6 – Match Stats

The two biggest bunch of ratbags had a great night of darts. A clean sweep in the second round of singles ruined any chance of an upset for the Vipers. Horse and Scotty took 4 wins each although both had to work for it. John Hill hit a 180 as did the “Machine” Mountney. For the Vipers Jack hit a 180 and Bilbo hit 11 tons with 2 circles (thanks Deb).

Imports 11 v Motley Crew 10 – Match Stats

In the battle for 5th spot and a home semi the MC leapt to a 4-0 lead but the Imports kept chipping and it was the irrepressible John Rankine who completed a well-earned victory. Congrats to Ash for his 180 and also Graham who decided he didn’t need any more tons that night.

B GRADE – Full Ladder

Jockys 9 v Slashers1 6 – Match Stats

The doubles turned out to be the deciding factor in this clash between the Jockys and Slashers 1 who still had a mathematical chance at the finals coming into this match. The Jockys leapt to a 3-0 lead after the doubles. The singles rounds were both 3 apiece with good games to Gary Thompson, Clive Allen (and a welcome return to form) for the Jockys and Nicky Kruger and Graham Parish for the Slashers 1 team. Corey Naumann was unlucky to only come away with one win but still banked 5 tons and Nicky added to his ton count with another 6 tons. Highlight of the night was provided by Marshall Thompson with a 100 peg. In the end the Jockys completed the night 9-6 thus settling the finals make-up for B Grade in a couple of weeks time.

Tri-Hards 9 v Slashers2 6 – Match Stats

The Tri-Hards all but sealed a home semi with a tough match against the Slashers2. That man Mr Tuohy racked up another 7 tons and 3 rings with Rob for the Slashers matching him in rings but not in tons (2).

Devils 14 v Bulls 1 – Match Stats

Already have my money on the Devils to come flying home this season. Steve Bryant, 10 tons and 3 wins, wow ! Not much went wrong for the Devils with Ken dropping the one match to Wesley. Don’t worry Kenny, I’m sure the team won’t mention it.

Arrows 8 v Wanderers 7 – Match Stats

So so close Wanderers very well played. Banz and Edgar held their nerve at the death to take out the match that was poised to be one of the upsets of the season. A high quality match with Edgar for the Arrows pegging 110 and Mick for the Wanderers with a 103.
