Premier League Round 8 Full Ladder

Raptors 10 Vs We’re On 10 Match Stats

Raptors once again involved in a rollercoaster match and ended up getting their second draw of the season against the very strong We’re On.  Things were looking tough when the visitors moved 7-2 up but the Raptors showed what they are capable of by reeling off 8 games on the spin.  Plenty of bottle shown by We’re On to take the last 3 games and a share of the spoils.  One of those nights where a draw is probably a fair result.

Starring for the home team were Liam with 5 wins and Kate with 3 and a 101 peg while Corey hit an 18 darter and a 117 peg.

For the visitors Horse (3 140’s) won 5 times and Justin 4 times hitting both a 20’s and 19’s maximum along the way.

Aha Gotcha 3 Vs Dragoffs 17 Match Stats

Aha Gotcha came up against an in form Dragoffs team who are league leaders for a reason.

A good display from Jade, who won twice with Corey picking up the circle for the termite troublers.

Carlos and Pat were on unbeatable form with Choppa picking up the trifecta with a 180, a 118 peg and 3 low games (12, 14 and 15 darts).

Imports 8 Vs Red Scorpions 12 Match Stats

Red Scorpions grabbed the 2 league points thanks largely to a run of 6 straight games over the first and second rounds.  This gave the Reds a 7-3 lead which they never relinquished.

For Imports Nev Snr hit 2 140s and won 5 times while Shane hit a 140 and won 4 times.

Winners across the board for Reds but topping the list were Willie and Stephen with 4 wins each.  Michael hit a 171 and 16 darter.

A GRADE Round 8 Full Ladder

Scorpions “B” 11 vs Motley Crew 10 Match Stats

The B’s move to the top of the table on leg difference thanks to the narrowest of victories at West Mitchy.  The home team was 6-3 up after the doubles and first round of singles. The next six singles were split three each but it the Crew weren’t about to give up their unbeaten streak without a fight and got things back 10-9 before Tristan got the B’s over the line.

Three B’s stood out with 3 wins from 4: John, (9 tons),Tristan (3 tons) and Grant (6 tons).

For the Crew Ross once again went unbeaten hitting 11 tons and a 105 peg and Chris B won 3 and threw 4 straight tons and a 140.

Dragons 6 vs Devils 15  Match Stats

An understrength Dragons team battled gamely but had too much to do against those dependable Devils.

Craig continues to throw well with 3 singles wins and a team best 5 tons on the night.  Mick also picked up a couple of wins and hit 3 tons.

Gary (7 tons) went best for Devils with 4 wins with Steve hitting 10 tons and winning 3 times.

Nek Minit 11 Vs Nemesis 10 Match Stats

Nek Minit showed that the race for the top 4 spots could go all the way as they tore up the form guide at the Brook Hotel.  The visitors hadn’t ever been in front until the decisive final double went in to make them 11-10 victors.

Dylan (3 tons), Mark (4 tons) and Ty (8 tons) all won three times while Shaun threw really well by all accounts.

Two players stood out for Nemesis by winning all four of their games.  Drew didn’t lose a leg all night, had a 100 peg, threw an 18 darter, hit 4 tons and a barrowload of 80-odds.  Ivesy laid down a huge MVP marker with a season high 17 tons and a 17 darter.

Javelins 13 vs Gremlins 8 Match Stats

Both teams entered the match on 6 points and it was Javelins who got the win and moved into the top 4 on the ladder.

For the Javs it was a real team effort with everyone contributing at least two wins but three time winners on the night were Peter (7 tons), Bryan (7 tons) and Keith (2 tons).

Two Gremlins had a great night.. Richard with 4 wins and 10 tons and Andrew with 3 singles wins, 5 tons and a 180.

Wanderers 6 Vs Jockys 9 Match Stats

A win that keeps Jockys at the top of the table thanks to a powerhouse first round of singles where they bagged 5 out of 6 and go three games ahead.  Wanderers got close thanks to a couple of early wins in the final round but the visitors middle order of Derek (3 wins, 2 tons), Peter (3 wins, 4 tons) and Gary (2 wins from 2) got them home.   For Wanderers Lance again showed what he’s capable of with 3 wins from 3 while Ashleigh grabbed a circle on debut.

Patrick took out a 120 checkout which is the first high peg of the B Grade season.

Red Scorpions 6 Vs Raptors 14 Match Stats

The Raptors keep moving in the right direction with a tidy win against Red Scorpions at Gaythorne.

For the home team Willie put in a captain’s performance with three singles wins from three.

For Raptors Corey was unbeaten in 2 doubles and 3 singles games, firing in a maximum on the way.  Kate (5 x 140, 17 darter), Liam (2 x 140) and Don (3 x 140) all won 4 times on the night.

Stray Darters 5 Vs Dragoffs 15  Match Stats

The 2016 edition Dragons split into these two teams so, as well as 2 points, there were some bragging rights at stake as well… and it was Dragoffs who took home the lot with a comprehensive 15-5 win.

For the Strays Dave (2 x 140, 100 peg) and Ciaran (1 x 140) both won twice while Kylie and Banz hit 180s.

On the Dragoffs side Pat (6 wins, 2 maximums, 5 140s, 18 darter, 13 darter and a 130 peg), Carlos (5 wins, 2 maximums and 8 140s) and Alex (5 wins, 2 140s) all impressed.

Motley Crew 12 Vs Gremlins 9 Match Stats

A really good effort from newly promoted Gremlins who ran MC close before going down 12-9.

For the visitors Andrew (6 tons) was unstoppable winning 4 from 4 with good support from Richard who hit 9 tons and won two singles from three attempts.

For the Crew both Ross (13 tons) and Chris B (5 tons) won all four of their games with Sam picking up 3 wins and 4 tons.

Nemesis 14 vs Javelins 7  Match Stats

Nemesis kept a firm grip on 3rd place in the table with a 14-7 victory over Javelins.

Peter (12 tons), Keith (1 ton) and Gavin (1 ton) all picked up two wins for the Javs.

A good all round performance for Nemesis, led by MVP contender Ivesy with 4 wins, 15 tons and 2 low games.  Also throwing well were Drew (8 tons) and Nikki (5 tons) who won 3 games each.

Scorpions “B” 18 Vs Dragons 3 Match Stats

The B’s show their class with a thumping 18-3 win against the Dragons.

Two Dragons grabbed the circles with Banger (2 tons and a 180) and Craig (5 tons) winning in the doubles with both men picking up a singles win each as well.

Three B’s won four out of four on the night: Joe (5 tons including a 120 peg), Grant (10 tons) and Darryl (7 tons) with John adding a 100 peg to the mix.

Devils 10 vs Nek Minit 11  Match Stats

A cracker at Everton Park where Nek Minit edged it 11-10 thanks to a big second round of singles where they turned a 3 game deficit into a 1 game lead.  This proved enough as they took the first three games of the final round to get over the line.

A brilliant night in defeat for Ash with 4 wins, 7 tons and a 17 darter.  Other noteworthy Devils were Christian (3 tons) who won 3 and Steve (7 tons) winning twice.

For NM Shaun (10 tons) won all his singles and Daz (7 tons) won three times.

B GRADE Round 7 Full Ladder

Arrows 10 vs ALGC 5 Match Stats

Arrows kept the pressure on at the top of the table with a comprehensive 10-5 victory over ALGC at Chermside.

Nicky did well for the visitors by taking 3 wins and hitting 4 tons including a 140.  Pieter (3 tons) and Grace (1 ton) both picked up a circle.

For 2nd place Arrows The Dominator was unbeatable in 3 with 4 tons, as was Bob with 4 tons of his own.  Special mention to Mel with 2 wins and a 180, a 140 and 4 straight tons – good darts!

Jockys 13 vs Slashers 2 Match Stats

There was no stopping league leading Jockys who got past Slashers 13 games to 2.

Slashers on the scoresheet were Paul and Mick in the doubles, and Mick in the singles.

The 8 Jockys spread the games and wins around but both Peter (4 tons) and Ian (4 tons) picked up 3 wins.  Also unbeaten in two were Gary (1 ton) and Clive (1 ton).

Cannons 7 vs Wanderers 8 Match Stats

This one took the last leg of the last game of singles to find a winner.

Snow (1 ton) was unbeaten in 3 for the visitors with vital support from Dave (2 tons) and Lance (3 tons) who won two each,

For the home team it was good to see Rowey coaxed out of his traditional season 1 hibernation, picking up 3 wins and hitting a tidy 133.  A few Cannons picked up two wins, most notably Jason who hit 7 tons which was the most in B Grade this week.

Raptors 6 v Scorpions 14  Match Stats

Scorpions showing why they are widely considered to be another of the title contenders with a 14-6 victory over the Raptors.

Don did well for Raptors with 3 wins and a maximum while Kate and Corey added 2 wins each.

All the Scorps did well but a special mention goes to Glen with 5 wins, a maximum and a season’s best checkout of 160.  This high peg is his third of the year to go with earlier efforts of 140 and 144 which sees him currently filling 3 of the top 4 spots on the leaderboard.  Brian and BA also won three times.

Red Scorpions 3 vs Stray Darters 17 Match Stats

This was a slightly scrappy encounter which was one-sided purely because the Strays made the most of their opportunities.

For the Reds there were singles wins for Willy (3 x 140s) and Michael (1 x 140) and a doubles win for Bruce & Stephen (3 x 140s).  Unbeaten on the Strays side were Ciaran and Dave, who both had 18 darters with Dave hitting a 100 peg as well.

We’re On 13 Vs Aha Gotcha 7  Match Stats

We’re On powered past Aha Gotcha with a very tidy 13-7 win to keep up the pressure at the top of the PL table.

The four games of doubles were split 2 each but WO were able to take the singles rounds 11-5 to ensure victory.  All players on the home team were on form with three singles wins each for Justin (4 x 140),  John (5 x 140, a 177 and a 128 peg) and Aaron (6 x 140 and a 180).

Sean continued his recent blistering form with 3 wins, a 180, a 14 darter, an 18 darter, a 116 peg and a 128 peg!  Jade also won 3 times hitting 2 140s and a 180.

Imports 8 Vs Dragoffs 12  Match Stats

Not much separated these two teams at Gaythorne with the table topping Dragoffs taking it 12 to 8.

Frosty continued to impress with 4 wins with JR not far behind with three wins and a 108 checkout.

For the visitors Alex was unstoppable winning all his games, hitting a 120 peg, an 18 darter, a maximum and five 140s. Edgey also picked up 2 singles and 2 doubles wins.

Devils 9 Vs Nemesis 12  Match Stats

Nemesis got off to their standard 2-1 down start and as the night got longer and louder the doubles starting to land. Donny and Drew won 3 a piece with Ivesy hitting 8 tons including three 140’s. Quiet night from Christian with only 4 tons but 3 wins, Ash with 7 tons and 3 wins also and Gary with 6 tons and 2 wins.

Scorpions “B” 15 vs Javelins 6  Match Stats

The B’s continue to keep things tight at the top with a good win against a very solid Javelins side.

Four B’s were unbeaten on the night namely Grant (10 tons), Joe (8 tons) Tristan (7 tons) and Darryl (6 tons) whose 100 peg is a division leading 3rd ton plus checkout of the season.

Luch was the only Javelin able to notch 2 wins but Bryan (11 tons) and Peter (7 tons) had their scoring boots on.  Tony put 3 in the green bit for a 19’s maximum of 171.

Nek Minit 5 Vs Motley Crew 16 Match Stats

A tough night for NM as they played host to an in-form Crew who started by taking all 3 games of doubles and never looked back.

Mark was in no mood to let the visitors have it all their own way as he picked up two singles wins from 3 and banged in a 180 amongst his 4 tons.  Daz (4 tons), Dylan (3 tons) and Ty (1 ton) also got wins against the division leaders.

If there were MCP points awarded for the most consistent player then there’s every chance Ross would be topping that table as well as MVP.  This was a typical performance by him that ticked just about all the boxes: four wins from four, eleven tons, a maximum and a 16 darter.  Sam (5 tons) also had four wins with Ben (4 tons) & the two Chrises (G 6 tons, B 3 tons) winning 3 times on the night.

Gremlins 11 vs Dragons 10  Match Stats

A cracking match at Wantima which saw Dragons leading 8-7 with the final round of singles to play.  The first 4 games of the round were shared making it 10-9 to the fire breathers before the Gremlins surged for the line to take it by the narrowest of margins.

For Gremlins there were 3 wins each for Frenchy (4 tons) and Terry (4 tons) with Rich and Andrew both hitting 6 tons each.

Two Dragons were unbeaten on the night.  Craig (8 tons) picked up 4 wins and Mark (5 tons) grabbed 3 and hit a 17 darter as well.  Banger also threw well with 6 tons and two singles wins from 3.

Slashers 0 vs Wanderers 8   Match Stats

Forfeit win for Wanderers.

Jockys 9 vs ALGC 6 Match Stats

Once again Jockys built their victory on their prowess in the games of doubles with the three circles taken at the start being the eventual margin of victory.

Peter was top Jocky with 3 wins and 5 tons including a maximum but Ian was also unbeaten in three with a trio of tons to his name.  Not much to choose Nicky (2 wins, 6 tons) and Peter (2 wins, 5 tons) for the ALGC honours.

Premier League Round 5 Full Ladder

Please Note: A vote was taken and a rule changed was passed for the Premier League grade which states that scores of 100 to 139 will no longer be recorded.  This does not affect A and B grade; it does mean a change to the MVP points for Premier League and we are in the process of removing low tons from the season’s previous games.  At the same time we are double checking the Premier League sheets to ensure all MVP point scoring performances have been accurately recorded.  As always please email [email protected] if you suspect a mistake has been made.

Dragoffs 14 v Scorpions 6  Match Stats

Welcome returns to the Dragoffs line-up for Carlos and Edgey who both made solid contributions to the win over the Scorps.  Pat again bringing quality to the league with 6 wins, 3 low games and a 180, with Carlos not far behind on 5 wins and 3 180’s.  Alex played to the level we’ve come to expect this season with 4 wins and 2 180’s with Edgey chipping in 2 wins from 3 games.

For Scorpions everyone contributed something notable: Brian had three wins plus a 180, Scott had two wins, Pat hit a 180 and BA had 133 peg.

Aha Gotcha 7 vs Raptors 13 Match Stats

The Raptors have added real strength since Kate joined them and they picked up the 2 points against Aha Gotcha.  Sean starred for the bug blasters winning all four of his singles games while hitting two 180’s and a 15 darter.  Jade won twice and hit 6 140’s.

Four wins each for Raptors Kate (7 140’s), Liam and Corey who had pegs of 116 and 100.

Stray Darters 6 vs We’re On 14  Match Stats

We’re On look like genuine title contenders and they showed it here with a win against the Strays in which they never really found their top gear.  Five wins apiece for Justin, Horse (17 darter, 116 peg) and Aaron (118 darter, 113 peg).  All four of them (the three mentioned plus Paz) hit maximums on the night,

For the Strays there were two wins for Edgar and Banz while Dave lived up to his “One A Week” billing by landing a maximum in his last singles game.

A GRADE Round 5 Full Ladder

Nek Minit 8 Vs Scorpions “B” 13  Match Stats

The B’s did all the damage by sweeping the first round of singles to take the 5 game lead that would be the eventual margin of victory.

Blain threw well for the home side with 5 tons and 3 wins.  Two time winners were Ty (2 tons) and Daz (4 tons including a 110 peg).

For the visitors it was the best possible start for the returning Tristan (7 tons) who took 4 from 4.  Grant (7 tons including a 180) also won 4 times and Darryl added another high peg to his collection with a 152, which is the current highest checkout in A grade this season.

Gremlins 10 vs Nemesis 11  Match Stats

A last dart nail biter was won by Nemesis thanks to the steel nerves of David Smith. John “The Baptist” Ives was solid all night winning all 4 games and just missing a 13 dart leg, smashing in 16 tons including a 116 peg, 180 and five 140’s. Donny with 3 wins and 6 tons played well as did Vickii 2 wins and 2 tons and Davo with 2 wins and 3 tons.

For the Gremlins the Frenchman was on fire with 3 wins and 3 tons, Richard was scoring freely also with 8 tons and 2 wins

Motley Crew 13 Vs Dragons 8 Match Stats

The Dragons nipped ahead 2-1 after the doubles but the Crew showed why they are reigning champions by taking each of the three rounds of singles 4-2.

For MC Ross again leading the way with 4 wins from 4 and 11 tons along with Chris G who won 3 times.  Chris B reached double figures for tons with 10,

Strong showings from Craig (2 tons, 3 wins) and Gav (6 tons, 2 wins).  Cathy’s Dragons debut started well with a doubles and singles win.

Devils 9 vs Javelins 12  Match Stats

These two teams always seem to have great battles and this one was no different.  The Devils took a slender lead into the second round of singles, saw it evaporate in the third round before getting it back to 9 all with 3 games to play.  With the game on the line the Javs took the last 3 circles to win 12 – 9.

A great night for Steve (11 tons including 3 140’s) who was unbeaten in four and had an 85 peg.  Gary (5 tons) won 3 times and had a 20 darter but that was topped by Christian who hit a 19 darter.

Two Javs remained unbeaten with Keith (3 tons) taking 4 from 4 and Bryan (10 tons) 3 from 3 with Luch also grabbing a trio of circles.

B GRADE Round 5 Full Ladder

Wanderers 3 vs Arrows 12  Match Stats

The Arrows keep the pressure on Jockys at the top of the table thanks to a 12-3 win over Wanderers. Dom and Mel won all their matches and hit 7 tons each. For the Wanderers Snow won 2 games and hit a ton.

ALGC 0 vs Slashers 0  Match Stats

Jockys 9 vs Cannons 6  Match Stats

The Jockys took the three games of doubles and, as is so often the case, this proved to be decisive.  Perfect nights for Derek and Ben who both had 3 wins and 4 tons.  For the Cannons Jason won twice and hit 3 tons.

Premier League Round 4 Full Ladder

Dragoffs 12 v We’re Here 8  Match Stats

Probably the highest quality encounter I’ve written up for the BNSDC website this one. These teams have really put down a marker with over 130 ton plus scores of which 9 were 180’s and 31 were over 140…..  as well as ten low games and a triple figure checkout.

Dragoffs were only able to win one of the doubles but took out 11 of 16 singles to pick up the two points.  Shining brightest were Pat who won 5 times, hit 28 tons (3 x 180) & 4 low games, Alex who won 4 times, hit 24 times (4 x 180) & 3 games and Rod with 4 wins and 15 tons.  Blags hit two 180’s.

Not much separated the We’re Here boys.  Three wins each for Aaron (11 tons), Horse (9 tons, 16 darter) and Justin (9 tons) while Pas powered in 20 tons and a 17 darter.

Stray Darters 6 vs Imports 14  Match Stats

Imports are moving up the table after are a good win over the Strays.

Frosty continues to throw beautifully with 5 wins.  He hit 26 tons including a 180, threw a 16 darter and only missed out on the “Maximum, Low Game, High Peg” trifecta as he could only manage a 99 checkout on two double tops.  Four wins in the bag for both Nev Sr (11 tons) and JR (17 tons, a 16 darter) while Jamie hit a 180.

For the home team Ciaran (10 tons) and Dave (15 tons) added 3 wins and 2 wins respectively.  Kylie and Banz hit maximums as did Edgar who had a 17 darter as well.

The No Points 9 vs Raptors 11  Match Stats

Raptors fans can’t have any fingernails left after their third game of the season was sat at 9-all with the doubles to play.  Having lost the first and drawn the second they went one better against No Points.

For the home team Scott (11 tons) won 3, the ever dependable Stuart (10 tons) won twice as did Peter, who hit 6 tons.

Newest Raptor Kate (17 tons) got off to the best of starts with 5 wins from 5, Corey (13 tons) won 4 while Liam (10 tons) and Dinger (6 tons) won 3 apiece.

Red Scorpions 4 vs Scorpions 16  Match Stats

The Scorpions moved to joint top of the table after a comfortable win over their Red cousins.

For the Reds Willy (11 tons) won 3 and Stephen (11 tons) won twice.   A good showing by all Scorps with Scott (19 tons including a 180) winning 6, BA (12 tons) won 5, Brian (14 tons) won 4 as did Glen.  Glen also hit 14 tons, a 180,a 144 out and an 18 darter.

Dragons 10 vs Nek Minit 11  Match Stats

As close as you can get for this Chermside derby with the game poised at 8-7 to Nek Minit with six to play.  The first 3 games of the final round all went to deciding legs but NM grabbed them all to secure the win.

For Dragons Mick (6 tons) and Banger (7 tons) each picked up 3 wins.  On the Nek Minit side of the book Ty, Blain (5 tons) and Daz (5 tons) won 3 each as well.

Motley Crew 13 vs Javelins 8  Match Stats

The Crew sailed to a 7-0 lead and while the Javs were unable to claw back, eventually losing by 5.

Top Crew performers were Ross (11 tons) and Sam (4 tons),  They paired up in the doubles and then won all of their singles, Ross without dropping a leg.  For the Javs Tony (3 tons) and Peter (2 tons) had two wins each and Keith had a 108 peg.

Gremlins 9 Vs Devils 12 Match Stats

The Devils showed real resilience to turn an 8 – 7 deficit into a 12 – 9 win courtesy of winning five of the last round of singles.

Richard once again shining for the Gremlins with 13 tons and 4 wins from 4 with Andrew chipping in two wins and 4 tons.  For the Devils it was debutant Gary hitting his straps with 4 wins and 7 tons with seasoned performers Christian (10 tons), Steve (10 tons) and Ash (9 tons) adding 3 wins each.

Scorpions “B” 16 vs Nemesis 5  Match Stats

Scorpions “B” keep the pressure on at the top with a resounding win over Nemesis.  Four time winners for the B’s were John (12 tons including a 180), Joe (9 tons) and Darryl (4 tons) with Grant also winning 3 times.  Nemesis battled gamely with Drew (3 wins, 6 tons), Don (2 wins, 4 tons) and Vickii (1 win, 3 tons) grabbing their team’s circles.

B GRADE Round 4 Full Ladder

Arrows 9 vs Jockys 6  Match Stats

The Jockys got away to a 3-0 lead after the doubles but were chased down by the Arrows.  They got the deficit down to one game after the first round of singles, levelled it at 6-all and then grabbed the last 3 games although each one went to a deciding leg.  A real battle that went right down to the wire.

The wins were spread around evenly on both sides but mentions go to the following Arrows: Two time winners were Mel (7 tons), Bob (3 tons), Dom (1 ton) and Joel (3 tons).  For the Jockys Gary (2 tons), Kerry and Patrick (3 tons) all won twice while Derek topped the ton count with 8.

Cannons 6 vs Slashers 9  Match Stats

Slashers were one short but still prevailed over the Cannons at Chermside

For Cannons the two Daves picked up a doubles win with Dave P picking up a singles win along with Gila and Lyn, who hit a pair of tons,  Brian (1 ton), Andrew (3 tons) and James (11 tons) won three games each.

ALGC 8 vs Wanderers 7  Match Stats

Another tight one with ALGC hanging on against the Wanderers who got it back to 7-6 before the spirited fightback was ended.

ALGC’s victory was built on the two pillars of Aden (4 tons) and Pieter (3 tons) who both won 3 from 3 with Nicky topping the ton count with 5.  Wins all over the scoresheet for Wanderers but edging ahead of the pack were Dave (2 wins, 3 tons) and Christian (2 wins, 2 tons).

Premier League Round 3 Full Ladder

Dragoffs 18 v The No Points 2  Match Stats

Dragoffs flexed their muscles this week with a comprehensive 18-2 win.  All four players went unbeaten in the singles rounds and won one from two in the doubles.  Alex hit 12 tons (4 140+ and a 180), Tony had 16 tons (2 140+ and a 180), Pat had 21 tons (6 140+) and Carlos threw an 18 darter and hit 20 tons (6 140+ and a 180).

Stuey (11 tons) and Scott (8 tons) teamed up well to take both of their doubles games.

Aha Gotcha 2 vs Stray Darters 18  Match Stats

Stray Darters also ran out 18-2 winners in a match that was actually a bit closer than it looked as 10 games went to a deciding leg with the visitors taking 8 of them.  Leading the way for for the home team were Sean (19 tons) and Jade (17 tons) who won a singles game each.

Three of the five Strays went unbeaten – Edgar (9 tons) had 2 doubles wins & 3 singles wins, Ciaran had 4 singles wins (13 tons) and Dave had 2 doubles wins & 3 singles wins with 10 tons including a maximum and a 128 peg.

Imports 10 vs Raptors 10  Match Stats

Imports and Raptors played out the season’s first draw at Gaythorn Bowls Club.  The Imports started strongly and flew off to a 5-1 lead before being pegged back to 7 all.  From there the lead changed hands a few more times before Corey and Don won the deciding leg in the last game of doubles to take a share of the points.

For the home team Frosty continued his red hot early season form with 3 wins and 25 tons including a maximum, JR hit 23 tons with a maximum and Shane won 3 games as well.  Nev hit the team’s third 180 of the night.

For the Raptors there were strong showings from Corey (16 tons) and Don (8 tons) who had 5 wins apiece.  Liam obviously had his scoring boots on with 15 tons of his own.

We’re On 13 vs Scorpions 7  Match Stats

A high quality encounter at the Brook with three sub-18 dart legs thrown, a ton plus finish and over a hundred tons, including 4 maximums.

A good all round performance from We’re On with Horse (20 tons) winning 5 games, Pas won 3 (14 tons), Justin also won 3 with a 14 darter and 2 180’s with Aaron picking up 4 wins and hitting an 18 darter.

For the Scorpions Pat (13 tons) led the way by winning 4 games.  Two wins each for Scott (14 tons, a 180 and a 120 peg) and Brian (17 tons and a  17 darter)

A GRADE Round 3 Full Ladder

Nek Minit 8 vs Javelins 13  Match Stats

A good solid win by the Javs this week with a standout performance by Max with 4 wins from 4.  Bryan (7 tons) and Tony (4 tons) also chipped in with 3 wins.

For Nek Minit Blain won 3 from 4 with three other players adding two wins each, the pick being Mark courtesy of his 6 tons.

Dragons 6 vs Nemesis 15  Match Stats

Nemesis too good for a strong looking Dragons team at Chermside,  Mark (4 tons) and Gav (2 tons) doing pretty well while Banger banged in 9 tons.

For the visitors Ivesy looked a class above with a 17 darter, a 110 peg and 15 tons including 2 maximums in his 4 wins.  Mentions also to Nikki who was unbeaten in her 3 singles and Vickii who got 3 wins as well.

Scorpions “B” 14 Vs Gremlins 7  Match Stats

Scorpions “B” have the look of contenders even at this early stage as they powered to a 14 – 7 win over the Gremlins.  Grant leading the way for the B’s with most tons (10) and wins (4) but three wins from Joe (6 tons including a 180) and Darryl (6 tons) ensured the job got done

For the Gremlins Andrew (6 tons) had 3 wins and winter signing Rich won a couple and knocked in 14 tons.

Devils 7 vs Motley Crew 14  Match Stats

MC are picking up where they left off last season with their third win on the bounce against an always solid Devils side.

The Crew-sual suspects of Ross (11 tons, a 180) and Sam (5 tons) went 4 for 4 while Chris B (4 tons) and Tim (1 ton) won 3 games each.

For the Devils it’s great to see Ken with 2 wins, which was matched by Steve (10 tons) and Christian (6 tons).

 

B GRADE Round 3 Full Ladder

Slashers 6 vs Arrows 9  Match Stats

This match was in the balance at 5-4 to Arrows with the final round of singles to come but a strong showing from the middle of the order got them over the line.

For the home side credit to Mick and Brian (5 tons) with 2 wins each,

For the visitors Mel took home a quiver full of MVP poins after 3 wins and 13 tons while Joel also picked up 3 wins from 3.

Cannons 9 vs ALGC 6  Match Stats

This was a game where the cannons did all the damage in the first round of singles, picking up 5 of the 6 games.  ALGC actually shaded the honours in the other two rounds but it was not quite enough.

For ALGC Nicky (2 tons), Peter (1 ton) and Christo (1 ton) won two games each.  Two wins each for Cannons Jason (3 tons), Gila (1 ton) and Dave (3 tons).

Jockeys 12 vs Wanderers 3  Match Stats

The Wanderers walked into a Jockeys ambush at West Mitchy with the home getting up 12 to 3.

Three for three nights for Ben (6 tons), Josh (4 tons), Peter (2 tons) and Gary.

For the visitors Christian (1 ton) and Snow (1 ton) picked up singles wins and the pairing of Dave (2tons)  and Lance (1 ton) winning in the doubles.

Round 20:

Imports 15 vs Vipers 6 – Match Stats

The red hot Imports were at it again with a a 15-6 win over the 4th place Vipers.

Glen continued his great form with 3 wins and 14 tons and both Jamil (4 tons) and Pas (10 tons) won a pair of games.

There were big nights for a few of the Imports players.  JR had two 18 darters. hit 11 tons and won 3 games…..  Jamie hit 10 tons and won all 3 of his singles…. Shane had a 110 peg, 3 singles wins and 7 tons…. Frosty hit an 18 darter and 13 tons….  A top team performance.

Rat Pack 9 vs Scorpions 12 – Match Stats

The five man Rat Pack were unable to pull off an unlikely victory against the third place Scorpions.  The final scoreline shows that the games played were split 9 apiece but the 3 forfeits took the Scorps home.

Justin (7 tons) was strongest for the Pack with 3 singles wins ably assisted with 2 wins each from Max, who hit 6 tons including a 180, and Aaron with 10 tons including a maximum, a 100 peg and an 18 darter.

For Scorpions Joe (6 tons) and BA (12 tons and a 100 peg) led the way with three wins each with Scotty firing in 16 tons and an 18 darter.

B GRADE – Full Ladder

Round 20:

Slashers 5 vs Cannons 16 – Match Stats

The Cannons were firing on all cylinders at Enoggera taking the game 16 to 5.

A great night in defeat for Peter who won all of his singles games and hit 8 tons.  For the Cannons both Benny (4 wins, 6 tons) and Arthur (3 wins, 6 tons) were undefeated while Bnager won all his singles and knocked in 6 tons as well.

A week off for the Crew this week.

Devils 11 vs Jockys 10 – Match Stats

A huge comeback for the Devils who were staring at a 9-6 deficit with the final round of singles to go.  They got the game back to 9-all, went 10-9 behind then took the last two games to squeak to victory.

Josh led the way for Jockys with 3 wins and 3 tons while Ben kept his scoring boots on for a second week, hitting 11 to go with last week’s 13.

For Devils Christian was unstoppable with 4 wins, 8 tons and a 17 darter and he had excellent support from Steve (2 wins, 6 tons) and Randall (2 wins, 4 tons).

Some tidy finishing in this game by all accounts with Dave taking out 76, Steve 74 and Pat 70.

Nek Minit 9 vs Javelins 12 – Match Stats

As happens so often we have a game where one teams gets off to flyer in the doubles and holds that lead to the end, this time the Javs going off to a 3-0 lead and winning by 3.

For Nek Minit Archie was in good form with two wins, a high score of 174 and a high peg of 129.  The other two game winners were Ty (3 tons), Daz (6 tons) and Mark (8 tons).

For the high flying Javs it was Peter’s night with 7 tons and 4 wins from 4 without losing a leg.  Three game winners were Keith (5 tons), Gavin (3 tons) and Bryan (7 tons including a 180).

C GRADE – Full Ladder

Round 20:

Arrows 11 vs Wanderers 4 – Match Stats

A comprehensive win for the Arrows.  They took the doubles 3-0 and both rounds of singles 4-2 to emerge 11-4 winners overall.

For the Wanderers Lance stood out with 2 singles wins and a ton with Snow hitting a score of 156.  On the Arrows side two players won 3 from 3…. Vinnie and Dom, who also hit 4 tons.  Renita banged in 6 tons and Chadders hit a 171.

Round 19:

Imports 17 vs Muppets 4- Match Stats

The fact that Imports sit 5th in the ladder is a testament to the quality of A grade this season.

For the Muppets it was Stuey leading the way once again with 2 wins and 5 tons whilst Scott banged in 7 tons and picked up a win.

I’m going to have to find out what Frosty and JR did on the bye week as they were in unbeatable form.  Neither player dropped a leg all night with JR hitting 20 tons (yes, TWENTY) and Frosty 6, all of which were 120+.  Nev also won 4 from 4 and hit 10 tons to round out a strong victory.

Vipers 12 vs Raptors 9 – Match Stats

The Wantima bragging rights go to the Vipers thanks to a 5-from-6 first round of singles.  The Raptors edged the last two rounds 7 games to 5 but the damage had been done.

The Raptors spread their wins around but mentions to Corey (2 wins, 10 tons), Liam (2 wins, 9 tons) and Glen who hit a 180.

On the Vipers side there were stunning performances from Glen (7 tons including 2 ton-plus checkouts and a 180) and Pat (11 tons), neither player dropping a leg all night.  Also, Pas hit a 14 darter and fired in 9 tons in his 2 singles wins. 

Rat Pack 11 vs Dragons 10 – Match Stats

An excellent win for Rat Pack at The Brook which showed exactly why they are reigning champions and league leaders.  They once again proved they can come from behind and get wins from anyone in the team.

For the visitors Raymond hit 27 tons and 5 low games with excellent support from Carlos who won 3 from 4, hit 11 tons including two 180’s and two low games.  Edgey rounded out the Dragons low games with a 17 darter.

For the Pack it was a classic team performance,  Three wins each for Gabe (12 tons and a 111 peg) and Max (9 tons) whilst Horse hit a 148 peg, Terry a 100 peg and Justin fired in a 180.

The Cannons notched another win at Jockys with the 11-10 scoreline slightly misleading given the Jockys won the last 4 games with the result already decided,

For Jockys Ian won his 3 singles hitting 8 tons and Pat, Clive and Peter won 2 each.  Ben went on a ton frenzy banging in 13 of them.  For Cannons Arthur (5 tons) had a storming night bagging 4 circles and Mark (2 tons), Gav (1 ton) and Craig (8 tons) picked up 2 wins apiece.

Motley Crew 16 vs Devils 5 – Match Stats

The Crew steamroller continues on its way with a 16-5 win over a very handy Devils side.

Rudi (6 tons) and Christian (5 tons) were solid in a losing effort with 2 wins each.  For the Crew three players went unbeaten with Ross (11 tons), Sam (3 tons) and Chris G (2 tons).

Javelins 15 vs Slashers 6 – Match Stats

The 5 men of Slashers took on a near-full strength Javelins and went down 15-6.

For Slashers Denis won 2 of his 3 singles hitting 6 tons on the way while Brian pounded in 10 of his own and picked up a win.   On the Javs side three players went undefeated with Peter(4 from 4) continuing his rich vein of form as he went through singles without dropping a leg,  Luch (4 from 4) hit 5 tons and Bryan (3 from 3).

C GRADE – Full Ladder

Round 19:

Wanderers 6 vs Tri-Hards 9- Match Stats

A very good win for Tri-Hards against the high flying Wanderers which closed the gap for second to 2 points.

For the victors Dave and Jess were unbeaten with 3 wins from 3, both hitting 2 tons.  The two standouts for the Wanderers were Tim (2 wins and 5 tons) and Lance, who not only won both his singles but hit a monster 145 peg!

Arrows 6 vs ALGC 9 – Match Stats

A see-saw encounter at Chermside saw Arrows storm to a 3-1 lead before ALGC reeled off 6 in a row to take a decisive lead.  As the games ran out ALGC were able to match the Cannons win for win to take the game 9-6.

For Arrows Dom had 3 wins and 4 tons, Renita notched another 2 wins, and Scotty pounded the 19’s to good effect with 4 scores of a 117+.

For ALGC Nicky was the standout with 3 wins from 3 and 5 tons, with Nandi, Aden and Christo winning 2 games apiece as well.
