Imports 10 Vs Aha Gotcha 10 Match Stats

A draw is probably the right result for this fixture given that there was never more than a couple in it all night.
All Aha Gotcha’s players made important contributions with Gabe and Sean taking three wins each.  But with the match on the line at 9-7 down first Corey, then Rachel won their singles before combining to win the last doubles game of the night to force the draw.  Corey’s 4 wins and 4 140s were the best on the away side of the ledger.
A cracking performance from Frosty who won all 4 of his singles and both of his doubles with Nev, who had 4 wins on the night himself.  Six from six performances are not that common in the top grade so well played Jack, good darts mate.

Stray Darters 13 Vs Dragoffs 7 Match Stats

A Chermside local derby saw the Strays get up against the Dragoffs for the first time since the formation of Premier League.  After splitting the doubles the Strays reeled off 6 on the spin to talk a 7-1 lead which ended up being enough.
For Dragoffs Edgey, Blags and Alex all won 3 games each but Strays Dave, Ciaran and Drew won 4 apiece which proved to be the difference on the night.  Some good finishing on display with Edgey hitting a 108, Blags taking out 100 with two double tops and Dave 130 on the bull before wiring tops for a 160.  Maximums for Edgey, Ciaran and Alex and a 17 darter for Dave.

Peeping Toms 5 Vs We’re On 15 Match Stats

There aren’t many players who pick up four singles and a doubles win against the reigning champs but that’s what Ross did at Wantima, hitting six 140s on the way. Chris B had a hand in the doubles win and Tim hit three 140s.
We’re On’s success is built on having four strong players and they showed this once again.  Pas: 4 wins, 5 140s.  Aaron: 4 wins, 3 140s, a 180 and a 17 darter.  Kingy: 5 wins, 6 140s, an 18 darter.  Horse: 5 wins, 5 140s, a 117 peg and am 18 darter.  It’s a relentless lineup that are still setting the benchmark as the team to beat.

A tight round of games across A grade this week with only a few games between any of the fixtures.

Gremlins 12 Vs Dragons 9 Match Stats

A good win for Gremlins in a tight match that where the home team finally hit the front for good at then of the second round of singles.  Matt continued his good run of form with 4 from 4 with Terry and The Frenchman winning 3 each.
A strong showing from Craig and Ben who both won 3 times with Craig hitting 7 tons.

Nemesis 11 Vs Devils 10 Match Stats

Devils were down to 4 players for this one so they had to forfeit one game per round.  Despite this they were able to fight back from 7-2 down only to come up agonisingly short.

The three Devils worthy of a mention were Steve (4 wins, 8 tons), Ash (3 wins, a 180, 6 tons), and Rudi (3 wins, 7 tons).  Banga (5 tons) won 3 singles games from 3 and 3 other players won twice with the pick of those being Daral by virtue of hitting 5 tons.

Scorpions B 12 Vs Javelins 9 Match Stats

The Bs got back to winning ways with a solid win over the 4th place Javs at West Mitchy.

Peter leading from the front with 3 wins and 8 tons and two wins each for Brian (6 tons), Hugh (6 tons) and Luch (1 ton).  Four Bs picked up 3 wins each: Grant (12 tons), Tristan (4 tons and a 123 peg), Mick (6 tons) and Hilly (3 tons).

Nek Minit powered to victory with a 5-1 final round of singles which blew the previously tight game wide open.

Blain (3 tons) won 4 from 4 and Mark (5 tons) picked up 3 wins as well.

Mel once again showed what he can do with 14 tons, 3 singles wins, an 18 darter and pegs of 117 and 147.  Edgar clearly enjoying his darts with 3 wins and 4 tons.

ALGC 7 Vs Wanderers 8 Match Stats

A heartbreaker at Albany Links where ALGC fought back from losing all 3 doubles games to get the game to 7-all only for Wanderers to snatch it at the death.

Nicky won both his singles and hit 5 tons, as did Yash who hit 3.  For ALGC Christian won 3 for 3 with Lance, Dave and Tim winning twice.

Cannons 6 Vs Mustangs 9 Match Stats

A good all round Mustangs performance with wins across the board.  Three from three for Richard (2 tons) and two wins each for Peter (2 tons), Ian, Lindsay (1 ton) and Graham (3 tons).

Valiant in defeat were Scotty, Neil and Tom who all won twice.

Dragoffs 9 Vs Red Scorpions 11 Match Stats

Red Scorpions provided an upset against a Dragoffs team missing a couple of players.  Rod (1 180) won 5 times with Blags (a 180 and a 17 darter) and Edgey picking up 3 wins each.  As well as picking up the win the Reds scored well, hitting 15 140’s and a 180.  The wins were spread around with Stephen, Bruce and Willy each taking home 3 circles.

Stray Darters 11 Vs Peeping Toms 9 Match Stats

This game was in the balance 8-6 to the Strays but they grabbed the next 3 singles to get to the 11 games needed for victory.  For the visitors it was Ross (5 wins, a 130 peg, 15 darter and 8 140s) and Sam (3 wins) who led the way while Tim hit a 180.  There were wins for all Strays notably Dave (4 wins and a 120 peg), Ciaran (3 wins, 5 140s, a 17 darter) and Drew (3 wins, 104 peg) with Kylie hitting a maximum.

We’re On keep rolling on with a 15 – 5 victory over Imports.  No Horse but Jamie R making his WO debut and slotting straight into the team with 4 wins, a 17 darter, 4 140s and a 106 checkout.  Also picking up 4 wins for the home team were Pas (3 140s), Aaron (5 140s) but it Justin leading the way with 5 wins, 5 140s and a 16 darter.  Frosty going well for Imports with 3 wins, a 124 peg and a 180 with Shane winning twice and hitting a 180.

Scorpions keep themselves second on the ladder and add to their already healthy leg difference with a thumping 16-4 victory at Wantima.

For AG it was Sean, reliable as ever with 3 wins and debutant Geoff (2 wins and a 180) who did the most with Rachel hitting a 108 peg.   It was a typical barnstorming showing from the visitors with none better than Brian (5 wins, 2 140s, 3 180s, and 16, 17 & 18 darters) although Pat hit the trifecta with a maximum, 100 checkout and a 16 darter.  Rounding out the 5 time winners was Glen (a 171) while BA’s 180 meant all four players on his team hit at least one.

Dragons 8 Vs Javelins 13 Match Stats

Javelins got ahead early and stayed ahead thanks to two 4-2 singles rounds in the middle of the contest.  A classic allround Javs performance with every player of their six picking up at least 2 wins.  Peter threw well with 3 wins and 8 tons, as did Hugh (4 tons) who won all 3 of his singles games.  The other 3 time winner was Max who hit 2 tons.

For Dragons Mick had a great night with 3 wins, 5 tons and a 180 with solid backup from Benny (2 wins, 5 tons) and Craig (2 wins, 3 tons).

Wildcats 5 Vs Pinoy Darters 16 Match Stats

When the Pinoy Darters fire up they they are a real handful and they proved too much for The Cats.  Sarah slotted in well on her debut with 3 wins and 6 tons with Kelly and Shaz picking up the other wins.  Every PD player went well with Mel (4 wins, 13 tons) and Edgar (4 wins, 11 tons) shining brightest with both men hitting 18 darters to boot.

Nek Minit 12 Vs Nemesis 9 Match Stats

Nek Minit took this one thanks in the main part to taking the first round of singles 5-1, establishing a 3 game lead they held till the end.  Mark (3 tons) went undefeated with 4 from 4 and Daz (6 tons) won all 3 of his singles.  Shaun certainly had his scoring boots on with 10 tons.

All the Nemesi contributed but mentions to Dave (3 wins, 4 tons), Mark (2 wins, 5 tons) and Banga (2 wins, 4 tons).

The A grade match of the round for sure at the Brook with the Devils coming back from 6-3 down by taking 8 of the next 10 games.  As well as the close scoreline this was a high quality encounter with a total of 66 tons fired in.  First mentions go to the Bs with 3 men picking up 3 wins on the night, Darryl (9 tons), Grant (5 tons) and Mick (5 tons).  Wins like these are generally built on a good team effort and this one was no different.  Ash (7 tons) leading the way with four from four, Steve (7 tons) with three singles wins and Christian (7 tons and a 180) with 2 vital singles wins.

Wanderers 6 Vs Cannons 8 Match Stats

It’s something of a match report cliché to say that a result hinged on the doubles round but once again this was the case at West Mitchy where Cannons went out to a 3-0 lead and held it until the end.  For Cannons Neil and Tom both won all three of their games and hit 3 tons apiece, with Neil picking up a tidy 93 peg.  Jason won twice and hit two tons.  The wins were spread amongst the Wanderers with Snow hitting 4 tons as well as picking up a circle.

Mustangs 9 Vs ALGC 2 (The Links) 6 Match Stats

This week we were informed at BNSDC Towers that the players of ALGC and ALGC 2 were completely swapping sides.  My original thought was that this would utilize the techniques made famous by The Faceless Men of Braavos but it appears that the reality is that they just all switched teams.  For Links Pieter (4 tons), grace (1 ton) and Shaun (1 ton) all won twice.  For the Mustangs Graham won 3 from 3 with 5 tons and of the other two time winners I’ll pick out Lindsay courtesy of picking up wins in the singles.

Jockeys 11 Vs ALGC 4 Match Stats

Jockys took The Great Player Swap in their stride winning this one 11 games to 4.  For ALGC there was a doubles win for Rupen and Yash, who hit a 171, plus singles wins for Nicky (4 tons and a 101 peg) and Nandi.  Undefeated Jockys were Patrick (1 ton), Derek (2 tons) and Kerry (1 ton).  Ian and Gary scored well with 6 and 5 tons respectively.

Imports were within touching distance at 6-5 down before Dragoffs reeled off 7 straight to take the victory.

For Imports Frosty led the way with 2 singles wins and 2 doubles wins with Nev.

Five win nights for both Carlos (a 180 and a 13 darter) and Alex (two 18 darters).

Red Scorpions 8 Vs Stray Darters 12 Match Stats

The Reds opened with a 18 dart 601 doubles leg from Willy and Stephen and took off to a 3-0 lead.  The Strays pegged it back to 6-all then used the momentum to push on to a 12-8 victory during the doubles games.

Ciaran (pegged 4 with double 1 double 1) and Banz both won 4 times.  Ciaran and Drew hit maximums.

Gremlins 4 Vs Scorpions 17 Match Stats

The Scorpion Bs continue to be a tough nut to crack and showed what they can do with a comprehensive win over a solid Gremlins team.  A great standard of darts on display as a total of 78 tons were thrown including two 180s and ten 140s.

The Gremlins battled hard, no-one more than Matt who hit 9 tones including two maximums and won 2 from 3 in the singles.  Richard fired in five 140s and six straight tons and picked up a win and Alex took out a 105 peg.

For the Bs Tristan (9 tons) and Hilly (9 tons) both went undefeated picking up 4 wins from 4.

Nek Minit 18 Vs Wildcats 3 Match Stats

Nek Minit tamed the Wildcats by a score of 18 to 3 at Chermside.

Plenty of notable performances for the home team but mentions to Shaun (3 wins from 3, 10 tons), Mark (4 from 4, 5 tons including a 180 and 2 140s) and Ngawai (3 from 3 and a 75 peg).

Hats off to Vickii of the Cats who won all three of her singles and scored five tons.  A great effort.

Dragons 8 Vs Devils 13  Match Stats

The Devils slayed the Dragons at Chermside thanks largely to the efforts of Rudi (4 tons), Ash (6 tons) and Gary (9 tons) who all won four from 4.

Cathy picked up 3 wins and hit a 180, Mark won 2 from 2 and Ben won twice and hit 9 tons including 3 140s and a 180.

The Javelins handed Pinoy Darters a defeat with a good all-round team performance.

Leading the way with three wins and five tons apiece were Peter, Gavin and Max while Bryan hit a 180.  A bit of a masterclass on the other side of the ledger from Mel who won 4 from 4, hit 12 tons including 100 and 105 pegs and hit 18 and 17 darters.  Joel also won twice while Edgar hit 7 tons.

Cannons 9 vs Tossers 6 Match Stats

A tidy win for the Cannons who overcame an early doubles deficit by winning four from six in each of the singles rounds.

For the victors Tom won all three of his games while Gary and Jason won two each.  Two wins each in defeat for Pat, Judy and Tracy.

An excellent 24 tons scored on the night as well with Jason (2 x 140, 2 x100) leading the way closely followed by Lyn, Alan & Tom who all hit three, and Pat, Judy and Tracy who hit two apiece.

Wanderers 2 Vs Jockys 13 Match Stats

Wanderers started brightly with two doubles wins before getting hit by the Jockys juggernaut.

The doubles pairings of Lance (4 tons) & Christian (2 tons) and Carol & Elyse picked up the Wanderers circles.

For the Jockys it was 3 from 3 for Pete (2 tons) and Derek (2 tons) while Gary picked up a nice 99 peg.

ALGC2 (The Links) 10 Vs ALGC 5 Match Stats

The Links grabbed the points and the bragging rights with a solid 10-5 win over ALGC thanks to unbeaten showings from Nicky (5 tons), Rupen (5 tons) and Ben.

Pieter also won 3 from 3 for ALGC knocking in 3 tons on the way.

Ekka Invitational Darts Classic Draw

Last Sunday the draw was made for both lives of the EKKA Invitational Darts Classic, Wednesday August 16th, to be hosted by BNSDC.  The links to the draw are provided below.

The competition will begin at 9:30am with four qualifying matches, indicated on the first life as 1,2,3 and 4. The winners of each of these matches will progress to the competition proper with Round 1 due to commence at 10am.

We anticipate that the second life will start at 1pm with the final and presentation occurring from 4 to 5pm. In order to give all players a minimum of two matches, the four losers of these qualifying matches automatically join the 2nd life as indicated as “Loser G1” etc. aligning the numbers etc. as indicated in the first life.

Should any players pull out of the competition the “qualifying match” players pulled out of the hat first will replace them. E.G. If a player pulls out Sean Gutzke will take their place in both lives and Martin Bansey advances to play Jamie Rundle in the first life, and coincidentally in the 2nd life also. If a second player pulls out Tony Blagden takes their place in both lives etc. There are some instances of players being drawn against the same player twice, this was just luck of the draw.

All matches are 501 best of 5 for Rounds 1, Rounds 2 and the Quarter Finals. The Semi-finals and Final of each life will be 501 best of 7. The winner of each life will play each other to decide the overall Classic winner. It is intended the format will be at least best of 7. If the same player wins both lives they will be automatically be deemed the overall winner with the runners-up of both lives playing each other to decide the overall runner-up.

We are however restricted by time with a band scheduled to start not long after our presentations at the Stockman’s Bar. This may mean for example in the second life the semi finals might be adjusted to best of 5. It’s hard to predict at this stage but we will do our best to get through the games and make it a great darting experience for all involved.

For the players involved you should have completed your online induction and paid your entry fee prior to Sunday August 13th. We will be purchasing the tickets in bulk and will advise in due course which gate you can collect your ticket from if for some reason we are unable to get it to you.

All players should be sending me a brief bio of their career achievements/highlights. I also encourage you to include your nickname and walk on song. We can hopefully get this set up for the quarter finals at the very least but I can’t promise anything just yet. All emails from players should be directed to [email protected]

Stray Darters 13 Vs Imports 7 Match Stats

The Strays started strongly jumping to a 5-1 which was a bridge too far for the Imports.

Dave was a metronome all night winning everything (2 x 140’s, 100 peg, 17 darts), Dean was solid on debut winning 5 games (5 x 140’s, 104 peg, 15 darts) and Kylie hit a 180 and pegged 100.

The honours were shared for the Imports with John (6 x 140’s), Jack (3 x 140’s) and Nev (1 x 140) winning 2 games a piece.

We’re On continued their dominance over the Dragoffs with an impressive victory to christen their new home of Mitchelton Football Club. Pas was on fire with 8 x 140’s, a 180, 112 peg and 13 dart leg, Aaron hit a 104 peg also. For the Dragoffs Alex hit 4 x 140’s, 2 x 180’s a 107 peg and a 16 darter..

Scorpions 15 Vs Red Scorpions 5 Match Stats

An impressive start for the Scorpions. Brian went undefeated with a 180 and two 116 pegs. Pat also on fire with 3 x 140’s, a 14 dart leg and a 103 peg. Bob pegged 104 as well as hitting 2 x 140’s and a 180. Glen was the muscle for the Reds winning 3 and hitting 3 x 140’s and 2 x 180’s with Willy chiming in with 2 x 140’s and a 107 peg.

Welcome to the Premier League was the message from the Raptors. A very consistent performance from the Raptors with Liam leading the charge with 6 wins, 180 and 16 darter with Kate also unbeaten on the night with 6 wins.

As expected Ross won 4 of his 5 with a 140 and Sam pitched in with a win and a 119 peg.

Gremlins 15 Vs Nemesis 6 Match Stats

Gremlins got off to a flying start and couldn’t be reeled in. Matt had a great night with 8 tons and 8 doubles to boot and didn’t drop a leg. Richard no slouch either with 9 tons, a 180 and a 119 peg. Banga the pick of the Nemesii hitting 5 tons and 2 wins.

An inspired win by the Devils, who under the 5 player rule, were allowed to play with 6 but on the back of this scoreline the Javelins may not be so generous next time.

Gary (9 tons and a 120 peg), Rudi (6 tons, a 180 and 104 peg), Steve (7 tons) and Ash (one ton) all won 4 matches.

Pete for the Javelins was on song with 4 wins and 5 tons with the old silver fox, Hugh also pitching in with 3 wins.

Scorpions “B” 17 Vs Wildcats 4  Match Stats

In what I am sure was a very quiet evening at the Brook, the Wildcats sprung out of their cages to lead 3-1 and were not out of it with the score at 5-4 but the Scorpions “B” showed why they $1.20 to win A grade this season.

Grant the only player to win 4 hit 5 tons, Joe hit a 180 in his 5 tons and new player Wayne appears to be no slouch with a 180 in his 6 tons. Hilly hit a 19 dart game also which gets him a pat on the back.

Shazza (6 tons) and Vickii (2 tons) picked up 2 wins a piece with Nikki chipping in with a win and 2 tons.

Dragons 7 Vs Nek Minit 14  Match Stats

Nek Minit took out the local derby after a first and second round singles blitz saw them lead 11-4. Daz (1 ton), Mark (6 tons) and Shaun (7 tons) won three games a piece. For the Dragons it was the wily experience of Mick shining through with 4 wins and 5 tons.

Cannons 10 vs Wanderers 5 Match Stats

Cannons leapfrog Wanderers to grab third place in the table on the back of a good all round performance.  Three Cannons went undefeated on the night, Jason (4 tons), Neil and Lyn (2 tons).  For Wanderers Dave (2 tons) and Lance (1 ton) both won twice.

Tossers 8 Vs ALGC 7 Match Stats

New team the Tossers kept their undefeated status in tact with a hard fought win. Robert won all 3 matches and hit 4 tons, Pat (6 tons) and Julie won 2 a piece. The maestro Pieter won all 3 of his games and hit 4 tons for ALGC.

Wanderers 3 vs Mitchelton Mustangs 12 Match Stats

The Mustangs notched the first win in impressive style. Richard (3 tons), Graham (2 tons) and Chris (1 ton) won all three of their matches with Lindsay pegging 94.

Whilst Snow won the ton count with 4 for the Wanderers it was the girls bringing home the bacon with Elyse and Carol winning a singles and from my best guess Michael from the Mustangs filled in for the Wanderers and took out team mate Lindsay.

The Jockys got ahead early and although it was a tight match never surrendered the lead. Derek (3 tons) and Pat were ruthless with 3 wins each, Ian also won 3 and hit 4 tons including a 180 (didn’t bust this time). Yash hit 5 tons for ALGC2 and Rupen 2 tons and 2 wins.

Gremlins 9 Vs Pinoy Darters 12 Match Stats

Welcome Pinoy Darters and what a start. Edgar hit a 180, 10 tons, 100 peg and won 4 games. Not to be outdone Mel won all his games, hit 9 tons including a 180 and a 104 peg and Joel pegged an impressive 143. For the Gremlins Richard “The artist formerly known as King” Webber hit 9 tons and all 4 games with Peter pegging 100.

Wildcats 8 vs Devils 13 Match Stats

The Devils turned up pumped to face the newly unleashed Wildcats. Gary (11 tons) and Christian (6 tons) were on fire with 4 wins each, Rudi chipping in with 3 wins and a 109 peg. For the voluptuous Wildcats it was Shazza shining with 6 tons and 4 wins with Vickii hitting 3 tons and winning 2 singles also.

Scorpions “B” 11 Vs Nek Minit 10  Match Stats

Even though the Scorpions were up 11-5 it was an impressive finish from Nek Minit who can be proud of their efforts.

Joe 10 tons and a 17 dart leg led the charge with Shaun pegging 104.

Shaun M was solid with 3 singles wins for Nek Minit and Daz hit an 18 dart darter with a 95 finish.

Dragons 14 Vs Nemesis 7   Match Stats

Dragons off to a flyer against the new look Nemesis. Three wins each for Mick (6 tons), Craig (4 tons), Ben (3 tons) and Cathy (2 tons), For the Nemesis the two Daves won three games with Dave Render hitting 7 tons and showing his A grade cred whilst captain “Hot Pants” Davo hit 4 tons including a 107 peg.

In a see-sawing battle it was captain Neil Barry that sealed victory for their Cannons late in the game. Neil (2 tons) along with Allen (2 tons) and Lyn (1 ton) won both their singles.

Richard has a solid night for the Mustangs with 3 wins and 2 tons.

ALGC were very impressive against the Wanderers. Rupen and Nicky won 3 games whilst Pieter hit 5 tons including a 107 peg out. Lance hit 4 tons and along with Carol, Elyse and Snow won a singles.

Season 2 – 2017 Draws

Please see below the links to each grades draw for season 2 and also a venue chart which indicates to various venues how many teams they have playing there each week. The fixtures will be loaded over the next fortnight to the website. It is not a quick task so please be patient, we are volunteers you know. If there are any changes to the draw I will simply upload the new version here so whatever draw this link sends you to, it is the current one.

The venues for the singles for each grade are yet to be allocated to the particular venues.

Due to the increase of premier league teams to 10 we have had to reduce the finals from 3 weeks to 2 weeks and move the closed doubles to a Sunday. For the Premier League the closed Doubles will be played at Chermside Bowls Club on Sunday July 23, starting at 1pm, which also happens to be a social darts day for the club, so all grades are welcome.

In B grade every team has the same number of home games however in 4 instances teams play others twice at home and others twice away. Due to the congestion of four venues being at capacity this was unavoidable in order to provide a balanced draw. There are also rounds not quite in sync for A and B grade. eg round 3 and 16 are the reverse fixtures in A grade.

Downstairs I have a President’s Shield which was not utilized last year and due to the way the B grade draw has worked out it was a perfect opportunity to resurrect the shield and play a cup knockout style competition over 3 weeks at season’s end with the winner taking home the President’s Shield. I will try and rotate this competition through the other two grades over the course of next year.

Premier League Round 16 Full Ladder

The last week of the Premier League regular season started with the top 4 teams known and their positions already decided.  Congratulations to Dragoffs, We’re On, Scorpions and Imports who were well deserving of their spots in the finals.

Scorpions 15 Vs Imports 5 Match Stats

The Imports were on the receiving end of the most impressive performance at BNSDC.  In this match there were four 180s, 5 high pegs and a staggering 11 low games.  For Imports JR won 3 times and hit an 18 darter but it was really about the Scorpions where all 4 players had big nights…

Bob had 6 wins, hit two 180s and had two 16 darters; Glen won 3 times and hit 15 and 17 darters; Brian won 4, hit a 114 peg and hit 16 and 18 darters but it was Pat who could do almost no wrong. He won 5 times on the night including 4 out of 4 singles without dropping a leg.  He hit 6 140s and a 180 but it was the low games and high finishes that single this out as one of the best individual performances that we’ve seen in the league.  Finishes of 113, 115, 120 and 141 with games of 18 darts, 17, 15 and a season equaling low of 12 darts which went 180, 140, 40 and 141.

We’re On 19 Vs Aha Gotcha 1 Match Stats

We’re On had a confidence boosting big win against Aha Gotcha.

Jade grabbed the lone win of the night for AG and also hit four 140’s.

Undefeated for WO were Horse, Aaron and Paz, who had a 109 peg, while Justin hit a 180 and had a 15 darter.

Raptors 8 Vs Dragoffs 12 Match Stats

The Dragoffs finished the regular season with a record of 15 wins from 15 although they had a couple of scares along the way.  This game itself was finely balanced at 7-all and in fact a draw was still possible with the final games of doubles to play but the minor premiers held firm and took the match 12 games to 8.

Despite the defeat Raptors finished the season in 6th place on the ladder, tied with Red Scorpions on points but with a superior leg difference.  Highlights for the home team were Kate’s 142 checkout and Corey’s two maximum.  They were both three time winners on the night, as was Liam.

For Dragoffs Choppa showed some of what he can do with 6 wins, a 180, two 17 darters and two 16’s with Rod winning 4 times and hitting a 118 peg.

Stray Darters 13 Vs Red Scorpions 7 Match Stats

These two teams were playing for pride at Chermside after missing out on a spot in the top 4. When the Reds edged to a 7-6 lead it looked as if a bit of an upset was on the cards but the Strays took the last 7 games to win 13-7 and secure 5th in the table outright.

For the visitors it was three wins each for Stephen and Willy, who hit five 140s and a 180.  It was a good all round performance from Strays with Kylie leading the way with 5 wins.  Dave (a 177) and Banz (114 peg) both had 4 wins with Edgar picking up 3 circles and a tidy 94 peg as well.  Dave and Kyle showed they were in sync when they both took out 10 by hitting single 5, treble 1, double 1 within 30 seconds of each other.

Motley Crew 11 Vs Scorpions “B” 10

The MC had their late season blip and powered back into title contention with a magnificent comeback. Down 6-3 the MC dug deep with 4 wins in the second rounds of singles to reduce the deficit to just 1 then hitting the lead early in the last round before Tim held his nerve to catapult the MC into the Grand Final at home. Another great performance from Ross who played the best of the opposition and triumphed.

Javelins 11 Vs Nemesis 9

It was a case of a bridge too far for Nemesis. Every time they got within a sniffter of the lead the game would shift again with the experienced heads prevailing and without Bryan, it was a champion effort to overturn their past two losses of 14-7. Some great darts from Hugh and Pete set up the win with Keith’s steady finishing and cunning captaincy sealing the deal.

B GRADE Round 16 Full Ladder

Due to points differences and byes the final B grade table was decided last week.  Saying that, Jockys and Arrows have been the best two teams in B Grade and they both showed it with their final hit outs of the regular season.

Preliminary Final between Arrows and Cannons is set to be played at Chermside Bowls June 7th with the winner of that match progressing to the Grand Final at West Mitchelton RL versus the Jockys on the 14th June.

Jockys 13 Vs Cannons 2 Match Stats

Jockys were too strong for Cannons as the whole team contributed to their 13-2 victory over the team in third place.  Jason played the lone hand for the visitors by winning his two singles games and hitting 5 tons and a 140.  Jockys Gary (4 tons), Ian (3 tons), Ben and Derek won all their games.

Arrows 12 Vs Wanderers 3 Match Stats

Over at Chermside Arrows took on Wanderers and won comfortably despite the scoring power of Lance and Dave.  Those two Wanderers picked up the team’s wins with Dave grabbing two, hitting three tons, a 140 and a 160 and Lance the other with three straight tons, a 121 and three 140s.

The promotion chasing Arrows looked good from the top to the bottom of their line up but three players won all their games.  They were Joel, who hit 6 tons with a high score of 154, Bob (1 ton) and Luke.  Mel added 7 more tons to bring his total into the 70s for the season.

Premier League Round 15 Full Ladder

 Raptors 8 Vs We’re On 12 Match Stats

A close one between Raptors and We’re On with the home team getting ahead early in the doubles before WO powered through the first three rounds of singles to open up a 10-4 lead.  At that point Raptors rallied to make it 10-7 before Horse ended the comeback.

Raptors spread the wins around with Liam, who hit a 111 peg, Corey and Kate all winning three games each.  For WO Horse (18 darter) won 5, Justin won 4 (2 maximums and a 17 darter) and Pas (a 17 darter) won 3 times.  Welcome back to Max who returned for his first BNSDC Premier League hit out.

Scorpions 19 Vs Red Scorpions 1 Match Stats

A brutal looking scoreline hides the fact that the Reds were on the losing side of 8 deciding leg games.

For the visitors Willy grabbed the circle and hit a 180 with Bruce also hitting a maximum.

Winning five from five were Brian (2 180 and a 16 darter), Pat (a 180), Glen and Scott.  Three time winner BA also hit a 180.

Imports 17 Vs Aha Gotcha 3 Match Stats

Imports cemented their finals spot with a 17 to 3 win over Aha Gotcha at Gaythorne.

Rachel continues to do well after moving up to PL with two singles and a doubles win with Sean.

Lots of good performance from this dangerous Imports side with two men going unbeaten: Jamie won five from five and Jack four from four with a 180 and a 177 in the mix.  Shane and Nev were also four time winners with Nev hitting his side’s other maximum.

Stray Darters 7 Vs Dragoffs 13 Match Stats

The Dragoffs remained unbeaten after getting past a spirited Stray Darters side by a score of 13 to 7.

A powerhouse performance from Carlos who won 6 from 6 with Blags winning 5 and knocking in a 118 peg, while  Alex hit a 120 checkout and an 18 darter.

For Strays Ciaran and Banz both won twice with Banz hitting an 18 darter and two high pegs of 154 and 115.  Performance of the night though was from Dave who set his stall out in the doubles by raising the roof with the season’s first 170 checkout.  He also threw a 17 darter, hit two 180s and managed to bust a score of 174.  Kylie hit her 6th 180 of the season.

Nemesis 9 Vs Devils 12 Match Stats

The Devils reminded Nemesis that they may not have made the finals but can still turn it on, and they did, jumping to a 7-2 lead. After initially being dropped by captain Ash, Gary bounced back to win all his singles and hit 8 tons. Christian 7 tons, Steve 7 tons and Ash 4 tons also won 3 matches each.

For Nemesis John hit 9 tons including a 120 peg with an 18 darter thrown in, Vanessa won all her games and Bilbo 2 wins and 8 tons. All up a very friendly and enjoyable game of darts with friendships made and hatchets buried.

Javelins 10 Vs Scorpions “B” 11 Match Stats

By all reports one of the most intense games of the season with the Javelins almost snatching victory with Daryl and Joe holding their nerve at the death to take the win.

Daryl (7 tons), Tristan (7 tons) and Joe (6 tons including a 105 peg) won 3 each whilst for the Javelins Peter hit a 180 in his 7 tons with Hugh returning to his wily best with 3 wins.

Dragons 11 Vs Gremlins 10  Match Stats

This win had been coming for some time and the Dragons have been extremely unlucky this season. Banga (9 tons) and Craig (4 tons) won 3 a piece with Mark Lee pegging 111.

For the Gremlins, Matt hit 10 tons including a 180 and won 3 games, Richard 9 tons and 3 wins and Terry bagged a 180 also.

Motley Crew 15 Vs Nek Minit 6  Match Stats

Well I tipped an upset and couldn’t have been more wrong. The MC bounced back from last week’s near defeat to scamper Nek Minit’s narrow final hopes. Ross had the metronome going with 17 tons and 4 wins (ho hum!) with Chris Batch pegging 112.

Shaun (9 tons) and Mark (3 tons) won two matches each.

A tight match was sealed by Dave Hoy at the death, he won 2 games as well as Snow and Ashleigh.

Near recruit Maggie Louw had the perfect start for ALGC with 3 wins with Pieter chiming in with 5 tons and 2 wins. Unfortunately with the bye in the final week ALGC can’t make the top 3 now.

Premier League Round 14 Full Ladder

 Red Scorpions 4  Vs Imports 16 Match Stats

Imports keep their top 4 spot in their own hands with a thumping 16 – 4 wins against the resurgent Reds.  All the Reds notched one win each; mentions to Michael who hit four 140s and Stephen who hit two 140s.

A good night for all the Imports.  Jack (16 darter, a 180), JR (18 darter) and Shane all won five times won five times.  Rounding out the side was Jamie who won four and hit a 180.

Raptors 15 Vs Aha Gotcha 5 Match Stats

Raptors kept themselves in with a chance of a top four spot with a resounding win over Aha Gotcha.

BNSDC debuts for Aha Gotcha’s Sharon, who hit a 92 peg and Rachel, who started with a doubles and singles win.  Sean reliable as ever with 4 wins and 100 checkout.  Plenty of wins around for Raptors but Corey and Liam leading the way with five each.  Corey hit 2 maximums and an 18 darter and Liam & Don hit maximums as well.

We’re On 13 Vs Stray Darters 7 Match Stats

We’re On too strong for the Strays, who drop out of the top 4 for the first time this season.  A typically consistent run out for WO with everyone contributing.  Four-time winners were Justin (six 140s, a 180), John (a 16 darter) and Paz winning 4 times, with Aaron winning 3 and hitting an 18 darter.  Dave and Ciaran continue to perform well with three wins each, Ciaran hitting a 120 out, a 16 darter and two 18 darters.

Scorpions 4 Vs Dragoffs 16 Match Stats

Dragoffs were firing on all cylinders and kept a strong Scorpions side to just 4 games.

For Scorpions Scott won twice and hit a 180, BA won and hit a 108 peg with the other winner being Brian who hit a 17 darter.  Glen hit a 15 darter and a 180.

Choppa won 6 from 6 and hit three 180s but the performance of the night was from Alex who hit 2 maximums, a 102 peg and four low games (a 15 darter, a 16 darter and two 17 darters).

Dragons 8 Vs Scorpions “B” 13 Match Stats

Dragons seem to be doing everything but chalk up a win this season but they kept the killer B’s honest for most of the match.  Standouts for Dragons once again was Jamie with 3 wins, 7 tons, 2 140’s and a maximum, with Mick winning all his singles and hitting 4 tons.

Tristan (12 tons) and Hilly (9 tons and a 120 peg) both won four from four

Javelins 7 vs Nemesis 14 Match Stats

Nemesis led early and chipped away before storming home for an impressive win. John won 4 and hit 11 tons, Drew 3 wins and 7 tons with everyone else sharing the spoils. Peter with 3 wins and 2 tons led the charge for the Javelins.

Devils 9 Vs Nek Minit 12  Match Stats

Strength in depth is the Nek Minit way with all 7 players getting a circle in their 12 – 9 victory at the Devils.  For the home team Gary won all 4 of his games hitting 7 tons with Ash edging it of the other three 2 game winners courtesy of his 7 tons.

For NM Shaun (9 tons), Dylan (7 tons), and Blain (2 tons) won three games each.

Gremlins 9 Vs Motley Crew 12  Match Stats

This match was on a knife edge at 8-7 but the Crew got themselves over the line by taking the first 3 games of the final round of single before eventually taking the tie 12 games to 9.  For the Grems it was Rich again showing the way with 3 wins from 3 and 6 ton, with Peter (3 tons) adding 2 wins.

Only Ross undefeated for the Crew and his six tons must mean he left one of his scoring shoes at home.  Three time winners were Sam (7 tons) and Chris (1 ton).

B GRADE Round 14 Full Ladder

Jockys 13 vs Wanderers 2 Match Stats

Jockys keeping the pressure on at the top of the table and did their leg difference no harm with a 13 – 2 victory over Wanderers.

Snow (1 ton), Carol and Ashleigh (1 ton) all won for the Wanderers while Lance and Dave both hit 3 tons.  Ian (3 tons), Peter (2 tons), Patrick (1 ton) and Gary all won three from three.

ALGC 5 Vs Cannons 10 Match Stats

It was five against five at Albany Links with the Cannons ending up 10 – 5 winners.

Pieter threw well and picked up 3 singles wins and hit 7 tons. with Aden (4 tons) and Shaun (1 ton) winning a game each.  For Cannons Jason won four from four and hit 5 tons with Garry, Neil and Lyn winning twice.
