BNSDC – 2018 – Season 1 – Week 16

Premier League Finals Week 2

Last week’s PL playoff results mean that Scorpions host We’re On to see who takes the other spot in the Grand Final.

Scorpions vs We’re On

Even though We’re On claimed the Minor Premiership undefeated we should not forget that this Scorpions team, man for man, are the reigning champions after lifting the trophy last December.  Both sides have a great pedigree and are packed with top rep players not only from Norths but the other local dart leagues making this a mouth watering contest.

As with all PL fixtures this match started with two games of doubles and Scorpions picked them both up by a margin of two legs to nil but this was not to be the theme of the night however as 10 of the next 14 games had a bull up and last leg decider.  Early on it was Scorpions who got the best of these sudden death legs picking up the first two games of singles to go to a 4-0 lead.  We’re On started picking up wins but could only share the spoils over the next three rounds meaning Scorpions maintained their early advantage 8 games to 4.

Even with this lead it was far from over as a contest but We’re On really needed to start getting more wins on the board in a hurry.  As it was it was Scorpions who picked up the next two games and left the visitors needing a comeback for the ages.  They kept themselves alive in game 15 of the night and while Scorpions might not agree, it was a shame they never really got going.  In the end it was another sudden death decider that finished them off with BA hitting the winning double that put his side into the GF.

A GRADE Round 16 Full Ladder

Nemesis 5 vs Gremlins 16 Match Stats

It looks like the Gremlins were on song tonight. Jumping out to an 8-0 lead after the first singles, the task of fighting back for Nemesis proved too big. For the Gremlins, an all-round team performance was highlighted by 3 wins each for Garry (1 ton), Joe (5 tons+ and a 140) and Steve (5 tons and 2×140’s). Welcome back to Ian after his holidays. He produced 3 wins and 4 tons. For Nemesis, 2 wins for Neil (2 ton+) having an off night, 1 each for Ben (2 ton+), Julie (115) and Brendan (5 big scores). A late finish but enjoyable night.

Javelins 14 vs Wildcats 7 Match Stats

A solid win for the Javelins tonight with standout performances by Hugh with 4 wins (1 ton+), Peter with 3 wins (180, 4xton+s) and Tony with 4 wins, a 171 and 2x ton+ scores. All members contributed for the win, proving to be a competitive team most nights. For the Wildcats + 1, (I hope Lance dressed appropriately), a competitive game with standouts being Shaz (2 wins, 5 ton+ and a 140), Vanessa (3x ton+s, 140) and Vicki (121) chiming in for a 2 wins also. Lance stepped up to A Grade with 3 wins, 4 ton+ scores and a 140.

Nek Minit 6 vs Seagulls 15 Match Stats

This looked like an easy win for the Seagulls on paper but Nek Minit fought hard throughout. Up 7-2 after the first singles, the Gulls had to fight hard to cement the win. For the Seagulls, Christian had a 16 dart leg (good darts) 3 wins and 9 ton+ and a 140. 4 wins each for Gary (9xton+’s and 2×140’s) and Steve (5 ton+s and 3×140’s). Nigel (6 ton+ and 2×140) and Rudi (8 ton+ scores) added to the game score as well. For Nek Minit, 2 wins for Daz and 6 ton+ scores led the way while Mark smashed in 8 tons, Shaun, had a night on 20”s by the look of it, with 9 ton+s and 2×140’s. A tough night guys against a top team.

Scorpions “B” 12 vs Pinoy Darters 9 Match Stats

Against a depleted Pinoy tonight, Scorpions ran out winners tonight. For the Scorpions, 4 wins each for Grant (10 ton+s and 2×140) and Tristian (2 x 180, 6 ton+s). Top darts guys. John Ives chimed in with a very credible 2 wins, a 180 and 16 other ton+ scores. Shaun with 2 wins and 6x ton+s also fought hard. For the Pinot’s with only 5 players, gave it a good shake. The standouts were Mel with 4 wins and 12x ton+ scores and Roger, with 4 wins and a 16 dart leg, a 180 and 10 ton+ scores. Edgar worked hard with a 177, and 7x ton+s. Hard fought against the league leaders.

Dragons 7 vs Tossers 14  Match Stats

The Tossers proved too strong here tonight but had to battle hard for the win. 4 wins each for Patrick (13 ton+s and 2×140), Rob (2xtons) and Daniel (7 big scores). Kiana was on song with a 180, 100 and 3 wins. For the Dragons, 2 wins each for Ben (6 ton+s) and Mark (2 ton+ scores). This proved a hard fight for the Dragons losing all the doubles and having to chase from there on… good effort.

B GRADE Finals Week 1 Full Ladder

Cannons 8 v The Links 6

And here was the match we were waiting to see! The two teams who have battled out top spot on the ladder all season, and what a match we were treated to! The Cannons started out strong taking all 3 wins in the doubles – a serious start to a serious match! The Links were quick to answer back in their singles round though taking wins for the first 2 games to put them back in contention. Cannons would sneak back a win though by Tom’s hand, and then Ben would snatch another win for The Links. Jason and Mike helped the Cannons to finish strong though and all of a sudden Cannons were up 6 v 3. The Links had some heavy lifting to do and they didn’t shy away! Nicky, Yash and Rupen came out with a vengeance and put The Links back within shooting distance. The score was now 6 v 6 – dead heat!!!! First to 8 would take the win, and in the final cut-throat games, the Cannons would walk away victorious and score a comfy week off and the express train through to the finals. The Links will now battle the Jockeys for the right to face the Cannons in the grand final. Who will it be? The relatively newly formed Links, sharp shooters, savvy dart players? Or will it be the veteran Jockeys, with the steady hands and consistently strong performers? Stay tuned!

Jockeys 8 v Mitchelton Mustangs 7

Tonight the 3rd and 4th placed fought for their spot to remain in the finals and it certainly was the fight we were expecting – right down to the last game of the night. And who would have it any other way?! The Mustangs came out firing! 2 wins to them in the doubles round, and 3 wins in the singles it was certainly looking like they were on a roll. The Jockeys sure came back firing though with a neat one hundred and eiggghhhttty to Ian in the singles round and a solid 4 wins. It could’ve gone either way! Newty and Gary started the round with their wins, but Richo and Ian answered back with theirs, with Richo also scoring a nice 180! Clive took Peter S, and the game was drawn 7-7. All down to the final game between Brewster and Chris – it would’ve been “sitting on the edge of your seat” stuff! And the Jockeys walked away with the win. Credit to both sides for such a hot fight right to the end and rising to the occasion – what a ripper of a final’s game! All the best to the Jockeys who will now face The Links to see who will face the Cannons in the B Grade Grand Final!

BNSDC – 2018 – Season 1 – Week 15

Premier League Finals Week 1

After 14 weeks of league games you hope to have good contests in the knockout stages and these two certainly lived up to that billing.  First…

We’re On vs Strays

We’re On, the minor premiers, took on second place Strays at Chermside with a spot in the Grand Final for the winners and a second chance for the loser of this game.

We’re On got off to the perfect start in a couple of pretty scrappy doubles encounters but Strays soon dragged it back to 3-all.  The sides traded blows until Strays grabbed two in a row to move to a slender 8-6 lead.  This lead was short lived and We’re On hit straight back to get level at 8-all and when it went to 9-all it seemed as if it was going to take the team game to separate the two sides.

Strays took the first reverse doubles 2-1 in a game that had a couple of lulls but featured a memorable passage where the teams traded 5 consecutive ton plus visits.  With the score at 10-9 Dave and Frosty took the first leg of their match and had a decent lead in the second but Aaron and Pas dug deep to level it up and take the game into a deciding leg.  You would not have bet against this going all the way to a 21st game but Dave won it by pinning double 1 meaning Strays take the victory 11 games to 9 and progress to their maiden Grand Final.

Marshy, Dave & Ciaran had the best record on the night, each winning 1 doubles and 3 singles. Not all personal achievements were recorded but I remember Horse hitting a 150 peg as well as maximums from Dave, Ciaran, Banz and Marshy, who also hit a 17 darter.

Finally, thanks to Kingy and Blades for coming down to chalk and watch.

Scorpions vs Dragoffs

The other semi-final was a straight knock out with the winners progressing to a final elimination game against We’re On.

It has to be said that hese two teams are stacked with top BNSDC players making this a very worthy semi final.  Scorpions started off strongest by picking up both games of doubles and then maintaining this two game advantage until the score reached 5-3.  Dragoffs scrapped hard and got level at 5-all and 6-all but they were never able to get their noses in front.

Close contests are won by narrow margins and a key moment seems to have been the last game of singles which went to the deciding leg.  Scotty picked it up which gave the Scorps a 10-8 lead instead of it being 9-all with reverse double to come. This lead gave them two chances to get home but one was all that was needed as the power pairing of Heals and The Machine won their doubles 2 legs to 0 giving Scorpions the 11-8 victory and a showdown against We’re On next week at Chermside.

The most dominant individual performance of the night came from Max, who won 4 out of 4 singles, with other high spots coming from Heals with a 130 peg and Gabe who checked out 112.

A GRADE Round 15 Full Ladder

Dragons 10 vs Gremlins 11 Match Stats

What a great night of darts with both teams all but sharing the spoils. It proved to be 1 game of doubles that would be the difference between two evenly matched teams on the night. For the Dragons, 3 wins apiece for Ash (10 ton+’s), and Mark (1 ton). For Gremlins, 4 wins for Steve (9 ton+ scores) and a 140 peg out while Joe smashed a 180, well done guys. Consequently it all came down to the last game of the night to decide the match. Great job doing the book for dragons by Dave.

Javelins 11 vs Nemesis 10 Match Stats

Another tight match tonight being decided in the last couple of singles games. The Javelins getting across the line with vital wins in leg 5, to even it up, then Tony edging out Ian in the last game to secure the win. For the Jav’s, games were fairly evenly shared across the night. 3 wins for Max (4 ton+ scores), 2 wins each for Bryan (6 big scores) and Peter (6 ton+ scores as well). For Nemesis, 3 wins for Ian (6 ton+’s), Neil (4 ton+’s), Don (4 ton+’s). Brendan and Ben chimed in with 9 & 7 ton+’s respectively.

Wildcats 6 vs Nek Minit 15 Match Stats

A win by Nek Minit at the Brook, aided by a quick start leading by 3-0 after the doubles. A pretty even affair after that, until the final singles matches. A 5-1 result here secured the win, which looked comfortable on paper, but was a well fought out battle. For the Nek team, 3 wins each to Mark (18 dart leg and 4 tons), Shaun (2×140’s), Ben (5 big scores), Danny (4 tons) and Hilton (2 ton+’s). For the Wildcats, 3 wins for Kylie (6 ton+ scores), Shaz with 2 wins and 3 ton+ scores. Ness and Nikki kept NM honest with strong games.

Seagulls 6 vs Scorpions “B” Match Stats

A substantial win, on paper, by the Scorpions tonight secured them clear at the top of the ladder. It would appear that all the B’s fired up in the second round of singles winning 5 of 6 to ensure the win. John Ives had a night out with 2×180’s, 13 & 16 dart legs, 11 other ton+ scores and, of course, 4 wins. Great darts. 3 wins each for John Hill (2 ton+’s) Grant (12 ton+ scores) and Joe (7 big scores).Tristian had an 18 dart leg along with 9x ton+ scores. For the Gulls, although the score sheet looked sparse, fought hard to battle it out with an outstanding opponent tonight. Two wins for Nigel and 12 ton+ scores led the way supported by Drew (5 big scores) and Gary with 7 ton+’s. Still in the hunt as the finals are approaching.

Pinoy Darters 11 vs Tossers 10  Match Stats

And yet another nail biter this week, all the more remarkable as Pinoys were down to only 5 players. Once again the solitary extra win in doubles was to prove the difference in the end score. The singles shared 9 apiece. For Pinoys, 4 wins each for Roger (10 ton+’s) Leo (9 ton+ scores). 3 wins for Bob (3 ton+’s). For the Tossers, 3 wins for Patrick (6 ton+ scores and an 18 dart leg) Rob (5 ton+s). Daniel chimed in with 8 big scores.

B GRADE Round 15 Full Ladder

Wanderers 4 v Cannons 11 Match Stats

With the end of the minor premiership upon us, Number 1 and Number 5 on the ladder faced off for a final showdown. The Cannons had a great night, with a stunning 180 scored by Alan Mitchell, who also backed it up with 3 wins on the night – way to go Alan! The Cannons were consistently sharp in their scoring and it showed. The Wanderers made sure to make them fight for it though, taking 4 wins off the Cannons and another 3 games went to the final leg so no one was letting the Cannons storm away with it. But credit to the Cannons for a great season and lifting the competition in B Grade!

Jockeys v The Links Match Stats

Forfeit win for The Links

BNSDC – 2018 – Season 1 – Week 14

Premier League Round 14 Full Ladder

Dragoffs 8 vs Scorpions 12 Match Stats

This was a dress rehearsal for the first week of the finals but, while the teams will be the same, there’s a chance the personnel will be different so it’s hard to read too much into the result.  Saying that the Scorpions would be happy to finish the season with a win and this was thanks in no small part to their prowess in the doubles games which they won 4 games to nil with the singles games working out as an 8-all draw.

Three Dragoffs stood out with Max (2 14s, a 17 darter and a 125 peg) and Carlos (3 140s and a 17 darter) winning three times and Blags (2 140s, a 180 and a 17 darter) twice.

A steady all round performance from Scorpions with three players picking up 4 wins apiece: Heals hit 4 140s and a 180; Brian 4 140s and Bobby a 180.  Scotty showed how dangerous he can be with three wins with a score of 140, a peg of 141 and a 15 darter.

We’re On 13 vs Imports 7 Match Stats

We’re On finish the season undefeated with a tidy 13-7 victory over Imports.

Wins across the board for the visitors with Shane (2 140s) just edging it with 3.  Everyone else won twice.  Along the way Nev hit 3 140s, Richard 1 140 and James a 171.

Two of the WO towered over this contest winning 6 from 6 and each hitting the quadrella of 14, 180, high peg and low game: Horse’s was 5 140s, a 180, a 108 peg plus low games of 15 and 18 darts and Marshy’s 4 140s, a 180, and 18 darter and a 108 peg as well.  Great darts!

Peeping Toms 12 vs Motley Mustangs 8 Match Stats

All 5 Toms got a run out for their last game of season 1 with everyone chipping in to ensure they ended with a win.  Ross (3 140s, an 18 darter) and Sam (2 140s) won 4 times each, once in their doubles partnership and in each of their three singles.  Also worth a mention was Kingy who won 3 times and hit 4 140.

Mick (4 140s) and Stephen (2 140s) went unbeaten as a doubles partnership and picked up a pair of singles circles each to finish with 4 wins each on the night.  The other highlight of the night was when Bruce took out 106.

Strays 9 vs Raptors 11 Match Stats

Finally, at the last attempt, Raptors did what they have threatened for much of the season and closed out a win against a higher placed side.  Once again this went to the last game but this time they were able to close out a well fought win.

Corey’s performance was absolutely magnificent and probably the best we’ve seen this season.  As well as winning 6 wins from 6, he hit 9 140s, a 180, a 171 and two low games.  On top of these achievements he was also winner in what has to be the game of the season when he took on Frosty.  Both players traded ton plus scores with Corey winning the first leg in an equal season best of 13 darts.  Frosty hit back with a 17 darter and then had a dart at the bullseye for a 12 darter in the decider.  It wasn’t to be and Corey took the game in 15 darts.  The winning averages of those 3 legs (13, 17 and 15 darts) works out at a fraction over a hundred which is exceptional.  Well played to both!

Blades also threw really well with 4 wins, 3 140s and a 180.  A welcome return to BNSDC for Liam who chipped in with some vital big scores in his partnership with Corey which made all the difference to the result.

For Strays Frosty (6 140s and that 17 darter) won 4 times, Dave (5 140s and a 180) won 3 times and Ciaran (3 140s and a 180) won twice.

A GRADE Round 14 Full Ladder

Gremlins 4 vs Pinoy Darters 17 Match Stats

A big win tonight for the Pinoys. Standouts for the Darters tonight were Roger with 4 wins and 6 ton+ scores and an 18 dart leg. Good darts. Mel put in 4 wins as well and 7 big scores. Edgar with 4 wins also and a big 180, top score for the evening.

For the Gremlins 4 wins all up against an inform team. 6 other games going the distance. Mark and Jack each hitting a 140 were the high scores for the Gremlins.

Javelins 6 vs Scorpions “B” 15 Match Stats

A solid win for the Scorpions tonight with a couple of standouts. 4 wins for John Hill and 7 ton+ scores, John Ives also hitting 11 big ones & Tristian with 5- 140’s and 7 tons. Great team effort.

For the Jav’s, 2 wins each for Peter + 7 ton+s, Max and Keith. Hugh was gallant also with 6 ton+ scores.

Nek Minit 14 vs Dragons 7 Match Stats

A solid win tonight for Nek Minit with all members sharing the spoils.3 wins each for Mark, Danny and Daz. Top peg out for Mark of 134 and 7 other ton+ shots, with Daz on song with 9 big scores as well. Danny hit 6 tons and 3 x 140’s.

Two standouts for the Dragons tonight in Paula & Connor both firing in 7 tons and a 140 each. 5 other games went the distance and could have produced a different score line.

Seagulls 15 vs Wildcats 6 Match Stats

A solid win for the Gulls here with Christian, 9 and Nigel, 8, topping the ton count.3 wins for Gary and 6 ton+ scores. Rudi chimed in with a 102 peg out. Statistically the score sheet reflected an even contribution across the team.

The Wildcats battled hard and with 5 games going the distance, the result may have been different at the end of the night. 2 wins each for Kylie, 5 ton+s and Sharron with 4 big scores, while Nicki was gallant with 8 ton+ scores.

Tossers 12 vs Nemesis 9 Match Stats

The Tossers ran out winners here tonight with Rob leading the way with 4 wins and 12 ton+ scores. Kiana with 3 wins and 2 ton+s. 2 wins for Patrick, 8 ton+ and Daniel with7 big scores. A good win.

For Nemesis, Neal with 4 wins and 6 ton+ scores led the way while Ian and Ben had 6 ton+s each as well.

B GRADE Round 14 Full Ladder

Wanderers 4 v Mitchelton Mustangs 11 Match Stats

What a great night! So many of the games went to 3 legs, it was great to see these teams really fight it out. Although the score shows the Mustangs had a terrific night, only 2 games went down in 2 legs – well done to both sides for a great competition. It was even stevens until the 3rd round, and the Mustangs came out firing and took all games in the 3rd round to take the win for the night. It’s really encouraging to see each game go to the 3rd leg though, it was anyone’s for the taking. Solid scoring from both teams – Wanderers Captain Snow Royal had a solid performance with 3 ton plus scores and 2 wins proving the doubles combo of himself and Tim to be strong alliance. Lindsey had a great night on the tonnes – a 140 and three ton plus scores and 3 wins. Unfortunately this does leave the Wanderers on the bottom of the table, as hot contenders for the wooden spoon and the Mustangs securely in 4th place in B Grade, but great night had by all and awesome to see the Wanderers fight for the win.

Cannons 12 v Jockys 3 Match Stats

Well top placed Cannons came out rearing to defend their position at the top of the ladder, and what a great job they did. The Cannons had a great performance – every team member took a game win on the night and special shout out to Mike with 2 wins, a 140 and 6 tonnes, Graham with 3 wins and 4 tonnes, Jason with 2 wins and 3 ton plus scores. Jockeys also had some fierce shooters on their side – Newty with a solid two 140s, 3 tonnes and 2 wins and Thommo with 4 ton plus scores, greatly helping take the fight to the Cannons. Had the Jockeys taken this night, they would’ve joined The Links and the Cannons sharing top place in B Grade, but unfortunately they just missed out. Cannons go on to take 1st place now on a solid 16 points, however the next round will be the telling of final places and overall winner of the minor premiership. Will it be the Cannons? or will The Links take another win to join them in top spot?

* Scoresheet not yet received from the Jockeys, results to be confirmed

BNSDC – 2018 – Season 1 – Week 13

Premier League Round 13 Full Ladder

We’re On 13 vs Scorpions 7 Match Stats

Congratulations to We’re On as this win confirms them as Season 1 20118 Premier League Minor Premiers.  It also means that Scorpions will finish in the third spot on the ladder with one game to come courtesy of their superior leg difference over Dragoffs.

This was a good quality game from both sides with 4 ton plus pegs, 5 low games, 25 140s and 3 180s thrown between the two teams.  For the visitors Scotty (5 140s and a 102 peg) and Heals (4 140s) had the best of it with three wins each but mentions to BA who hit an 18 darter and a 120 peg and Glen for his 114 checkout.

There were two five time winners on the WO side of the sheet, Pas, who hit a 17 darter, and Horse who had a big nigh featuring 2 140s, a 180 and low games of 16 and 17 darts.  Aaron W put a tick in each box with 3 140s, a 180, a 140 peg and an 18 darter with Marshy hitting 3 140s and a 180 in amongst his 3 wins.

Dragoffs 13 vs Motley Mustangs 7 Match Stats

The Motleys were competitive throughout this one with Dragoffs finally putting the result away by winning 3 of the last 4 games to move from 10-6 up to 13-7 victors. Of the 20 games played 11 went to the deciding leg and the difference on the night was that Dragoffs won this contest within a contest 7-4.  Dragoffs were already assured of 4th spot on the ladder and the finals spot that comes with it but this defeat for the visitors keeps them in the thick of it at the other end of the table.

Max the pick for Dragoffs with 5 wins, 3 140s, a 120 peg and a 15 darter but Carlos (4 140s) also picked up 5 circles on the night. Gabe won 4 times, hitting 3 140s, and Blags won 3 with 3 140s and a 144 peg to his name.

Super scoring from Glen who hit 3 maximums and a 140, winning two from three games of singles.  Stephen also won two out of his three singles hitting 3 140s and a 180.  Mick was the other 2 time winner for MM.

Raptors 10 vs Peeping Toms 10 Match Stats

When news of another Raptors tie reached us we immediately dispatched the BNSDC Crime and Corruption committee to Wantima to perform a full investigation.  No betting irregularities were uncovered and interviews with the players failed to turn up anything untoward and so the result stands.  This season has seen both of the performances of both of these teams moving in the right direction and it’s easy to imagine them contending for a finals spot next year.

As you would expect from the line up of these teams two names stand out, one from each side and hardly anything to choose between them.  Corey with 5 wins a 140 & two 180s, and Ross 5 wins, two 140s and two 180s.  Given that Corey won their head to head, and all 4 of his singles, it’s probably fair to give him the nod.

Another decent run out for Kingy with four wins, a 174 and an 18 darter and Sam winning 3 times and hitting scores of 140 and 160.  Hopefully the seagull was treated well and didn’t get into the sandwiches.

For Raptors Blades (1 140) won 3 and Dinga (1 140 and a 180) won twice.

Imports 5 vs Strays 15 Match Stats

This win, coupled with Scorpions’ loss, means that Strays are locked into second place for the finals.

Richard king of the imports with 3 wins, 3 140s and an 18 darter with one win each for Matt, Nev (5 140s and a 180) and James, who hit 3 140s but was hitting the treble 20 so often that he couldn’t have been far off a much better night.

None better than Frosty with 6 wins from 6 but Ciaran not far behind with 5 wins (1 doubles and all 4 singles) with a 140 and a 16 darter to his name.  Dave won 4 times and hit 3 140s and an 18 darter.

A GRADE Round 13 Full Ladder

Scorpions “B” 16 vs Gremlins 5 Match Stats

Two teams with an abundance of players met up at West Mitchy tonight. No doubt the Scorpions had the better players on the night.

The Scorpions jumped out of the gate with a whitewash in the doubles, only losing 1 leg along the way. This form continued until the 5th and 6th singles and even then those games went to three. 5-1 and 4-2 in the remaining singles well and truly overwhelmed the Gremlins. John had 4 wins (2-0), 10 high scores and a 17 dart leg. Great darts mate. Tristan followed suit with 4 wins (2-0) and 6 ton+ scores. Mick and Shaun pitched in with 3 wins with 14 ton +s between them. Shaun also had the high score of the night with a 160. Solid win guys.

Gremlins were out classed here and have some work to do to avoid relegation. Of the five games won, all were 2-1 results and could have resulted in a worse scenario. Jack was the only star for the Gremlins with 3 wins and 7 ton+ scores. Terry and Peter had a win each and missed another one each going down 2-1 in those. Mark seems to have warmed to his new darts and scored 4 tons, a 120 and 140. Well done Mark. Work to do all round boys.

Nek Minit 9 vs Javelins 12 Match Stats

The Javelins and Nek’s had a close result here on paper but the Jav’s winning 8 matches 2-0 was a telling stat. Going ahead 2-1 after the doubles then 7-2 after the first singles proved a mountain too high for the NM team. An overall team contribution was evident with all players contributing with wins. Max, 5 tons, and Bryan, 8 big scores, each had 3 wins. Peter chimed in on the high scoring with 10 ton+ scores while Keith had the high score of the night with a credible 165. Good win there.

Nek Minit started slowly tonight and couldn’t quite recover from 10-5 down going into the last singles. Daz had 3 wins and a 2-1 loss on the night to lead the stats all around, and 5 tons to boot. Shaun, 8 ton+ scores, and Ben, 5 ton+ scores, chipped in with 2 wins a piece. A close result on paper, as I said, but they will need to be tighter as they close in on the finals.

Seagulls 13 v Pinoy Darters 8 Match Stats

The Seagulls looked to be soaring after the first singles going up 7-2 but had to consolidate with a fight back by the Pinoy in the latter stages. 3 wins each for Gary, 12 ton+s, and Nigel, 11 straight tons. 2 wins each for Christian, 6 big scores, Steve, 10 ton+s, and Rudi with 7 high scores as well. A great last singles set 4-2 ensured the Gulls will be there at seasons end.

For the Pinoy Darters, a very slow start to proceedings and down by a lot, early on. 3 wins for Edgar and 11 ton+ scores shone for the team tonight. 2 wins each for Roger, 12 big scores, and Mel with 8 ton+s. With 6 games going against them 2-1, it could have been a better result guys. I am sure the team will be competitive at the business end of the season.

Dragons 9 vs Nemesis 12 Match Stats

This match looked fairly close on paper between 2 teams with similar stats on the night. But Nemesis took home the cookies.

For Nemesis the first singles round gave them the edge to a successful night. With Neal leading the way with 4 wins on the night and 7 ton+ scores, Ian chimed in with 2 wins and 2 near wins/losses 2-1, and knocking out 8 big scores to boot. 2 wins each for Ben, 3 ton+ scores and Don with a 140 score. A close encounter overall.

For the Dragons, a determined battle that may have given a different result after being edged out early on 6-3 down after the first singles. Games were shared in the next two rounds and it would mean that the difference was the first singles round and a 2-1 doubles loss. Ash Harden, not known to me or the player register apparently, bashed out 4 wins and 5 ton+ scores.  2 wins a piece for Connor, 8 ton+s and Gav, 4 ton+s, while David with 2 big scores of 132 and a credible night high score of 171 was not to be denied. Good darts Rowie.

Wildcats 9 vs Tossers 12 Match Stats

Another close encounter at the Brook saw the Tossers take home the prize. Once again this week, we see a big difference after the first singles, with the Tossers taking a 7-2 lead into the remainder of the match. This would prove to be the difference that ultimately decided the match.

For the Tossers, 4 wins each for Patrick, 12 ton+ scores and Rob with 9 tons. Daniel jumped in with 2 wins and 7 big scores. These were enough to secure the win against a never say die Wildcats team.

For the Cats, 4 wins for Sharon and with 3 big scores, led the way. 2 wins a piece for Kylie, 7 ton+s, Nikita with 4 big scores as well. A good team effort but denied again, but only just. Good games.

B GRADE Round 13 Full Ladder

Cannons 9 vs The Links 6 Match Stats

The two top ranked B Grade teams faced off again, and who would take the win this time? Cannons came out ready to prove themselves and took all 3 doubles games straight up. They weren’t mucking around. The Links tried to answer back in the second round but could only take 2 games off the determined Cannons. They’d come back stronger in the third round with 4 games but it wasn’t enough to take the Cannons down. Cannons reigned victorious over The Links sharpshooters, and now join them at the top of the ladder both on 14 points each. Who’s going to take the coveted minor premiership? Not many rounds left to go.

* Scoresheet not yet received from the The Links, results to be confirmed

Mitchelton Mustangs 7 vs Jockys 8 Match Stats

Nothing like an 8 v 7 game to keep you on the edge of your seats! This game could’ve gone either way. The Jockeys started off well, taking 2 of the doubles wins in the first round, and going on to take another 3 games in the second. The Mustangs would fight back though to keep in it, with a 5 v 4 lead to the Jockeys going into the third round. Jockeys would take the first two games, but Mustangs answered back, taking the win on that last game the Jockeys would need to take the night. Wouldn’t be much further into the round though and the Jockeys scored their 8th game for the night, and another nail biting win for the team. Strong performances from the Mustangs though on the ton count, with 13 ton plus scores for the team. Jockeys were just too strong on the night.

BNSDC – 2018 – Season 1 – Week 11

Premier League Round 11 Full Ladder

Peeping Toms 16 vs Imports 4 Match Stats

Toms and Imports are two teams fighting it out in a very tight bottom half of the table and it was the home team who muscled their way to victory to the tune of 16 games to 4.

Sam was top Tom with 6 wins from 6 with four 140s and a 101 peg but Kingy right up there with 5 wins including all 4 singles.  Ross also won 5 times (2 doubles, 3 singles) and hit three 140s.

Nev and Rich won one of their doubles together and a singles each as well, with the latter hitting 3 140s.  Jamie, with a 140 and a 180 to his name,  picked up the other circle with a singles win.

We’re On 12 vs Dragoffs 8Match Stats

First versus fourth, and this result seems to cement both teams into their respective spots on the ladder with only a few weeks to go.
Dragoffs got off to a good start and pushed out to a 6-4 lead at the halfway stage before WO hit the afterburners and won the next six games of singles.  Dragoffs kept the tie alive by getting it back 10-8 with the doubles to come before WO ended the comeback by winning both of them.
In the last few weeks a few teams have come close to defeating We’re On but it says a lot about that attitude and ability that none have succeeded.
Gabe and Max both won 4 times with Max hitting a 100 peg and two 140s.  For WO Horse was best with 5 wins, a 140, a 180 and a 106 peg while Matty won 4 times on the night.  Three wins each for Pas (2 140s) and Aaron who filled all the boxes with 3 140s, a 180, a 100 peg and a 17 darter.

Motley Mustangs 10 vs Raptors 10 Match Stats

You really couldn’t make it up but Raptors, for the fourth time this season, played out a 10-all draw against the Motleys.  And once again they would be heading home feeling as if this was a point lost rather than a point gained given they were 10-8 up with the doubles to come.  But that’s darts and I can’t help feeling that these trials are building a stronger team for next season.

Lots of quality on show in this one with 20 140s, 2 180s, 3 ton plus finishes and 3 low games recorded during the match.  In terms of wins it was Corey (2 140s) with 5 leading the way but excellent stuff from three-time winner Dinga who hit 2 140s, a 180 and a brilliant 14 darter.  Mentions also to Blades who hit a 17 darter and 124 peg on the bullseye, and Daz with a 118 peg.

For the Motleys a cracking night from Stephen with 4 wins, 5 140s, a 180 and a 108 peg.  Willy picked up 3 wins with 2 140s and some real power scoring from Mick with 6 140s and an 18 darter.

Scorpions 9 vs Strays 11 Match Stats

The Premier League tie of the round was played out at Chermside between the Scorpions and Strays who occupied the second and third spots on the ladder.  The first installment ended in a draw earlier in the season and this one was even all night once Strays 2-0 doubles advantage was erased early on in the singles.  It went from 5-all at the halfway stage to 9-all with the doubles to come and every outcome was very much a possibility.  As it happened Strays were able to pick up both of them and claim the two league points which leapfrogs them into second on the ladder.

Big contributions to the victory from Frosty who won 5 times and hit 5 140s and a 180 with 4 wins each for Dave (4 140s and a 17 darter) and Ciaran (a 140, a 180 and an 18 darter).

For the Scorps Scotty(3 140s) won 3 and Pat and BA twice.  Pat hit a 140 and a 14 darter but BA (4 140s) threw some sensational darts with legs of a 15 darter and two 17’s during his 4 singles games.

A GRADE Round 11 Full Ladder

Gremlins 9 vs Nek Minit 12 Match Stats

Once again, enjoyable nights of darts, with a close result, in the end. Nek Minit jumped out of the blocks with 3 wins in the doubles. This proved to be the difference as the singles were shared.

For Nek Minit the standout performance goes to Shaun with 4 wins and 5 high scores. A great game of darts between he and Terry in the second round.  Mark and Daz chimed in with 5 ton+s a piece. Hilton had 3 wins also and 4 tons.

For the Gremlins, after a very sluggish start, got into the match and contested the remainder of the games competitively. Great night for Steve with 3 singles wins to love. Joe almost matched him with 2 of the same and a 3rd leg unlucky. Not to mention a great 121 peg out. Jack and Peter showed promise with 5 and 4 ton+ scores for the night.

Pinoy Darters 17 vs Wildcats 4 Match Stats

An overpowering win for the Pinot tonight and they certainly showed that they can maintain the pressure and consistency, over a round.

Roger motored on as he does with 4wins from 4, an 18 darter and 12 ton+ scores. Edgar was in pursuit with 4 wins also, a 180 and 6 other big scores. The depth of the team was evident with 3wins and 11 ton+s from Mel, 3 wins for Dom and 4 tons, and Leo  with 2 wins and 7 big scores as well.

For the girls it was a punishing experience, on paper at least. Accolades were shared across the team, which shows a fairly balanced team, but outgunned on the night by a relentless opponent.

2 wins for Vicki on the night and 2x 100+ scores, 1 win each for Kylie and Sharon. 6 other games went the distance, so it could have been a closer result. Ton+s also for Nick-5, Sharon-5 and Kylie 6.

Dragons 4 v Seagulls 17 Match Stats

A solid winning performance by the Gulls tonight but had to fight with 7 games going to 3 legs for the Dragons. A solid start with 3 doubles wins to kick off the night for the Seagulls.
Stat galore for the Seagulls – 4 wins each for Rudi & Gary, 3 wins for Christian, Drew & Nigel. Christian had a 180, a 16 dart leg, 5 ton+s and a 96 peg out. Rudi with 9x ton+ scores and a 93 peg. 12 tons+ for Drew, 8 for Gary & Nigel. Solid darts all around by this team.

The Dragons were hit hard early and never recovered. A couple of wins for Gavin and unlucky with 2 x 2-1 losses. 8 ton+ scores for Ben while Mark and Cathy had 4 each. 3 big scores for Chaddo as well. A tough night for the Dragons while being competitive at times tonight.

Nemesis 4 vs Scorpions 17 Match Stats

Yet another solid night of darts from the B’s, hammering home their consistency in the early rounds. 8-1 up after 9 games set the scene for a convincing win.
4 wins by Grant, Tristian & John was impressive while Joe won 3.  9 ton+ scores for Joe and an 18 dart leg stood out while Tristan and Grant had 8 big scores each. A solid team effort here and certainly Grand Final contenders it would seem.

Shell shocked would be a fair impression for Nemesis after 2 rounds but contested with 4 games going the distance on the night. Neil with 6 ton+ scores, Ben, Brendan & Don with 4 each showed some fight. Outplayed by a better team but not disgraced. Soldier on guys.

Javelins 9 vs Tossers 12 Match Stats

A depleted team from the Jav’s couldn’t quite get the job done tonight. By no means a convincing win by the Tossers, it would appear on paper. It is a shame when teams cannot field a full team but sometimes situations are unavoidable.

For the Tossers Patrick and Rob had 4 wins each, while Daniel had 3. A 180, 17 dart leg and 8 other high scores by Patrick was a standout tonight closely followed by Rob with 7 ton+ scores. 4 big scores from Daniel added to a team effort.

The Javelins are running a bit hot and cold at the moment it would seem. An uphill battle with only 5 players on the night. 3 wins for Bryan and 4 big scores, while Peter chimed in with 4 ton+ scores and 2 wins. A good effort under the circumstances by a competitive team.

B GRADE Round 11 Full Ladder

Links 8 vs Mitchelton Mustangs 7 Match Stats

It was a tight game out at the Links for these two teams, and could’ve swung either way until the last round. The Links started out with a good lead, having won 5 v 4 at the end of the second round but it’d come down to the last game in the last round to decide who’d take the win for the night. Great night by the Mustangs, all team members contributing to the wins on the night. Steady performance as always by The Links, scoring 18 ton plus scores as a team.

* Scoresheet not yet received from the Mustangs, results to be confirmed

Wanderers 6 vs Jockys 9 Match Stats

Old rivals faced off at West Mitchie for the last time this season. While the Jockeys walked away with the win, the Wanderers scored their best game against the Jockey’s yet this year. Jockeys unfortunately didn’t have a full strength team but in the spirit of the game Wanderer Christian volunteered to give them a hand for the night, and what a cracker he had, beating his teammates in 2 in both rounds of singles. Even though the Wanderers picked up some extra points, in the end the Jockey’s had the night won at 9 v 6. Solid performance from the Jockeys with 11 ton plus scores overall, and 8 from the Wanderers lifting as the season goes on.

* Scoresheet not yet received from the Mustangs, results to be confirmed

BNSDC – 2018 – Season 1 – Week 10

Premier League Round 10 Full Ladder

Raptors 10 Vs Scorpions 10 Match Stats

A great result for Raptors on the face of it but really, this was a case of what could have been and the visitors would have been going home the happier of the teams.  The Scorps won the first game of doubles but it was pretty much one-way traffic after that with Raptors holding a 6-2 lead after the first 8 games.  The visitors were able to close the gap slightly at 8-6 but it looked as if they were going to run out of games, especially when Daral and Corey won their singles games to go 4 up with 4 to play.

In fact three of the last four games, one singles and both of the doubles, went to a deciding leg and it was Scorpions who won the lot to grab the two league points which keeps them in second spot on the ladder.

All five Scorps contributed but three stand out with Brian best of the lot with 4 wins from 5 and 4 140s.  Three wins each for Glen (a 140 and a 174 ) and Heals (1 140) with Scotty hitting a maximum and an 18 darter.

Corey consistent as always with 4 singles wins and 8 140s but Daral really stepping up with 3 wins and two maximums.  Two wins each for Blades (3 140s) and Dinga, who hit a 180.

Imports 8 vs Dragoffs 12 Match Stats

Imports ran Dragoffs close but in the end it was Max and Gabe who made the difference in this match.  Gabe won 6 from 6 and sacrificed any chance of 140s by focussing on 19s with great effect.  Max won 5 from 6 and hit 3 140s, a 162 and a 120 peg.  Blags rounded out the visitors win count with a pair of singles victories and 2 140s.

King Richard ruled the Imports with 4 wins and 3 140s with nothing to separate each for the other three players as they all (James, Matt & Shane) won twice and hit one 140.

Motley Mustangs 6 vs We’re On 14 Match Stats

A solid win for the league leaders in the Mitchie FC derby who got out to a 7-1 lead with the first 6 games of singles all going to a deciding leg with WO taking 5 of them.  This was too much of a hole for the Motleys to escape from despite performing much better in the rest of the match.

Stephen seems to be playing himself back into form after not throwing much over the Christmas break and he chalked up a doubles and two singles wins on the night, with a 17 darter as well.  Willy also picked up two wins (a doubles and a singles) with one win each for Glen (3 140s) and Mick, who showed flashes of what he can do with 3 140s, 2 180s and a 15 darter.

Despite being outnumbered by five Mustangs it was We’re On’s Horse who galloped off with 6 wins, 3 140s, a 180 and an 18 darter.  Five wins for Marshy who hit “only” 4 140s and 102 peg.  Pas won 4 with 4 140s and Matt twice with 3 140s.

Strays 13 vs Peeping Toms 7 Match Stats

Chermside saw Strays finish with a solid 13-7 win over a constantly improving Toms side.

Ross is always a handful and so it proved again tonight with 4 wins, 3 140s, a 180, a 115 peg and two 18 darters.  The Premier League seems to be pushing Sam on and he again showed it with 3 wins, 3 140s and a 180.  Kingy the other the winner with one circle, 5 140s and a 130 checkout.

A big night for Dave who swept all before him with 6 wins, 3 140s, low games of 18 & 17 darts (twice) and high pegs of 100 and 110.   Four wins each for Frosty (3 140s and a 180) and Banz who hit 6 140s and a 13 darter.  A bit of an off night for Ciaran who still picked up two wins, 3 140s and an 18 darter.

A GRADE Round 10 Full Ladder

Tossers 6 vs Seagulls 15 Match Stats

Well another barnstorming display by the Gull’s tonight. 8 up after the first singles told the story. Way too strong for their opposition.

For the Seagulls – Gary and Nigel had a night out!! Gary with 13 ton+ scores including a 180, along with 2 X 18 dart legs…great darts. Nigel had 12 big scores and an outstanding 109 peg out. Christian chimed in as usual with 7 ton+ scores. Overall an awesome team on a mission it would seem?

The Tossers were blown away early in the night winning only 1 game from 11 at one point. A tough ask tonight against the calibre of their opposition team. Daniel provided a highlight with a 170 and 5 other big scores. Patrick fought hard for 2 wins and 7 ton+ scores. Tracy tried hard with 2 tons, a doubles win and 2 singles that went the distance. Good effort team.

Gremlins 10 vs Javelins 11 Match Stats

Yet another close tussle between these two teams. Javelins slipping home in the very last singles match to clinch the win. Well done Jav’s.

The Gremlins did it the hard way by only winning 6 out of the first 15 games. This left the ominous task of winning 5 out of 6 in the final singles sets; eventually falling one short 4-2. A brave effort produced by the relatively unseasoned set of new players in the Gremlins outfit.

For the Javelins – 3 wins each to Peter, Hugh and Max. Overall 32 ton+ scores on the night with a high score of 156 by Luch for the Jav’s….nice darts.

For the Gremlins; 3 wins for Garry, and 2 out of 2 for Terry. Once again, the chances were there, with 7 games going to 3 legs. Would have made all the difference right there Gremlins!!

Dragons 4 v Pinoy Darters 17 Match Stats

A very convincing win here by the Pinoy’s, who are definitely a force to be reckoned with towards the business end of the season.

For the Pinot’s – 3 wins each for Roger, Bob, Edgar and Mel. An 18 dart leg by Mel, along with 8 ton+’s was certainly a standout while 8 big scores for Roger and 6 for Edgar were also of note. 39 ton+’s on the night by the team.

The Dragons were hammered early by a much stronger team however good games by Ben and Cathy helped to ease the pain somewhat. 3 big scores for Gavin and David shows some promise. 12 ton+s by the team with all contributing. Well done.

Scorpions 15 vs Wildcats 6 Match Stats

Once again the Scorpions jumped out of the blocks early and had it all sown up by the third round of singles leading 11-4. A very consistent and cohesive team, as their results reflect this week in and week out.

For the B’s – 4 wins each for Grant, Mick and Tristian followed up by 3 wins for John. A big peg out for Grant of 115 and another good one from Tristian of 99…good darts guys. 39 ton+ scores for the team with 11 for Tristian, 8 each for Grant and Mick and a respectable 7 for John.

The Wildcats didn’t get a chance to settle after the blistering pace early on. 22 ton+ scores as a team.  2 wins for Jen and Kylie (7 ton+s) – showed some fight and supported by Shaz whacking in 6 big scores. Nicky filled in and was unlucky in a couple of singles but hit home 5 tons as well. Keep fighting Girls.

Nemesis 11 vs Nek Minit 10 Match Stats

The second close encounter of the round – this one, going Nemesis’s way. Once again it came down to the final singles matches to decide the night.

For Nemesis, the final singles were led off by Neil and Ian who put the match to bed, winning both games. 3 wins for Brendan, Neil and Ian ensured the match would be theirs. 8 ton+ scores for Ian and two high pegs of 100 and 72 was a standout while 5 big scores from Don and 4 from Neil, were also on song.

Nek Minit must have been shell shocked after last week’s great win to find themselves on the losing side tonight. Despite the great efforts of Ben, Daz and Mark they could not quite reel in the deficit. Winning the ton count for the night over Nemesis was not enough to get the wins they needed. 9 big ones from Daz, 6 from Shaun and 5 from Mark. As in the Gremlin V Javelins match, those 5 games that went 2-1 well would have made the difference on the night.

B GRADE Round 10 Full Ladder

Cannons 9 v Jockeys 6 Match Stats

Tonight would see the 2nd and 3rd ranked teams face off in the B Grade. The game was tightly fought through the 3 rounds, and both teams were in the fight to the end. The Cannons had some strong performances against a not full strength Jockeys, Jason and Mike had 3 wins, not to mention a solid 8 ton and over scores. Alan may have only played in the singles games but he had a strong impact with 2 tonnes and 2 140’s. The Jockeys brought their sharp shooters and played their usual best. Newty had a great night with 3 wins and 8 ton and over scores (7 tonnes and a 140). Strong effort by the Jockeys but they must’ve been feeling the pinch of being one done. The win to the Cannons though does mean that they are equal points with The Links for the top of the ladder. This ones going to be a race to the end!

Mitchelton Mustangs 9 v Wanderers 6 Match Stats

This night could have easily gone either way! What a game! Mustangs took the win 9 v 6 but majority of the singles matches went to 3 legs, so no side was going down easily. The Mustangs took some early wins which helped secure them the match overall. Captain Snow Royal had a good night on the darts, 3 ton and over scores and 2 wins, just missing out on the third. Tim took a convincing game in 2 and scored a 131 to top it. Strong performances from Matt, with a solid 2 wins, ton and 121. And steady leadership from the Captain Richo with himself also taking 2 wins and scoring a ton for good measure. The two points went to the Mustangs, which seas the Wanderers with a solid wooden spoon performance for the season, but great night had by all.

BNSDC – 2018 – Season 1 – Week 9

Premier League Round 9 Full Ladder

Raptors 9 Vs We’re On 11 Match Stats

Corey continues to show his class at BNSDC’s top level with another 6 from 6 performance, this time against the league leaders, throwing an 18 darter and 6 140s along the way.  Blades also chipped in with 4 wins and 2 140s.  Consistency has always been WO’s calling card and it was the same story this week with little to choose between the four of them:
Horse: 4 wins and a 140
Pas: 3 wins, 1 140, an 18 darter and a 104 peg
Aaron M: 3 wins, 3 140s, 2 18s and an 18 darter
Aaron W: 3 wins, 2 140s, a 119 peg

Peeping Toms 11 vs Dragoffs 9 Match Stats

The Toms pulled off the upset of the season with a nail-biting win by the narrowest of margins.  Dragoffs eased out to a 2-0 lead after the doubles and things looked ominous when they extended that to 5-1 early on.  The Toms kept hauling themselves back into the match until they finally took the lead by moving from 7-all to 9-7 up.  This two game lead proved top be decisive but it took the penultimate game of doubles to get them to 11 and secure the two league points.

This win, plus defeats of the other three sides in the bottom half sees the Toms go from 8th to 5th on the ladder, five points off the 4th finals berth.

Sam had his best performance of the season chalking up 5 wins, including all 4 of his singles, and hitting 3 140s and a 17 darter.  Ross, as always, in the thick of it with 4 wins (1 doubles, 3 singles) with 2 140s and an 18 darter.

A big effort in defeat from Rod who won 5 times (2 doubles, 3 singles) with Blags (3 140s) next best with 3 wins.  Max won twice and hit 2 140s, a 180 and a 130 peg.

Scorpions 16 vs Imports 4 Match Stats

A full strength Scorpions side, which this was, is a fearsome proposition and so it proved for Imports who went down 16 games to 4 at Chermside.

Nev pick of the Imports with 2 wins, doubles with James and a singles with 3 140s.  Singles wins also for Shane and Richard.

You can probably tell from the scoreline that all the Scorps had a big night…  Notable mentions go to BA, who played only in the singles and won all 4 with a 140 and a maximum; Scotty who won 5 from 5; and Brian who threw 4 140s and an 18 darters in his three victories.

Strays 13 vs Motley Mustang 7 Match Stats

Banz was away this week so the Strays were helped out by Ciaran’s mate Greg who contributed straight away with a doubles win.  From there it was the regulars who ensured the team kept up the pressure at the top of the table.  A fully-rested Dave showed what he can do with 6 wins from 6, 4 140s, a 100 peg and an 18 darter with 5 wins from Frosty who powered in 2 140s, a 180 and low games of 18 and 17 darts.  Ciaran rounded out the night with 4 wins, 4 140s and a 180.

All the Motleys contributed but it was not quite enough to come away with the points.  Glen (1 140), Willy (3 140s) and Stephen all won twice with Mick (2 140s) and Bruce (1 140) picking up a win each.

A GRADE Round 9 Full Ladder

Nek Minit 16 v Tossers 5 Match Stats

A great team effort by Nek Minit right across the board. With a big 6-0 win the second round of singles they sealed the night. 3 single wins 2-0 to Mark and Hilton, and supported throughout the team with 10 wins between them.

Despite their best efforts, the Tossers were outplayed here tonight by a stronger team effort. Great efforts by Patrick & Daniel 9 T+s, and Rob chipping in with 7 ton +s.

Pinoy Darters 13 v Nemesis 8 Match Stats

All the damage done early on by the Pinoy’s to lock it up after the second round of singles. 4 wins for Roger and only 7 ton+s tonight?? Great peg from Edgar of 114. A tough team to play as their consistency across the team is great – 32 t+’s & 9, 2-0 wins.

Tough night for Nemesis against a form team. Ian and Neal were the standouts with 3 wins and 9 ton+s each. A 116 peg for Neal as well. A fair scoreline against those guys.

Dragons 6 v Scorpions “B” 15 Match Stats

For one of the form teams of the grade, Scorpions B: 4 wins each for John, Tristan and Grant. 115 peg for Grant, great score of 174 for Shawn and a 19 dart leg and a 180 for John. Great darts right there.

A courageous effort by the Dragons:

Connor played very well for the Dragons winning 3 and a 2-1 loss in the fourth. 2 x 140’s and 10 other ton+s. A high score of 130 for David & a 121 for Ben.

A tough night for the Dragons but no disgrace going down to the B’s in top form at the moment.

Seagulls 15 v Javelins 6 Match Stats

Flying high at the moment, the Gulls, with another solid all round team effort. 4 wins for Gary and 11 ton +s while Nigel threw a 16 darter and 11 ton +s for 4 wins as well. Rudi, not to be outdone, smashed a 180 and had 3 wins.

Javelins didn’t seem to be able to get into it tonight but were not disgraced – Another top effort from Peter with 5 ton +s and 2 x 2-0 singles wins. No doubt this team will bounce back.

Wildcats 9 v Gremlins 12 Match Stats

What a great night was had by all …. the match was finally over about 2240hrs.

Unfortunately the Wildcats were a player short so rule 45c was put into play by agreeance of both captains.

A real close match, which started out well for the Gremlins winning all 3 doubles. Kylie did well on her own in the third doubles.

The first round of singles favoured the Gremlins 5-1. The second round was a great comeback by the girls to win all 6. So it was virtually down to the last singles to decide the night with Gremlins hanging on to win 12 games to 9.

Some great darts thrown which included:

For the Wildcats: 100 checkout for Kylie and a 16 dart game. An 18 darter by Shaz and 3 singles wins. 22 tones and over, for the team.

For the Gremlins: A 98 peg by Steve was nice to watch. 7 ton +s for Joe. 20 tons and up by the team. Was a great effort by the Gremlins with all contributing equally.

A long night but 14 games went the full distance 3-2.

B GRADE Round 9 Full Ladder

The Links 4 v Cannons 11 Match Stats

Well ladies and gentlemen, this was the game to see. The top 2 teams in B grade faced off for what was a much closer fight then the scores reflect. The Links still reign supreme as top of the ladder, but with the Cannons win this week, they are only 2 points away from leveling the playing field. Not to mention, the 2nd and 3rd are hotly contested themselves, so this is going to down to the wire. The Cannons showed up full strength, reserves, and some gunpowder- they were well and truly ready to roll. All was fairly even heading into the second round, and The Links made sure that the majority of wins did not go down in 2. And to be fair, the night was undecided until the middle of the 3rd round, but it was hotly contested all the way and The Links could easily have stormed back and taken the games in 2nd and 3rd rounds. But it wasn’t to be. The Links had some strong performances, Nicky – 6 T+ scores incl 180 & 2 wins, Bev with a stellar 9 T+ scores, Rupen and Yash with a pair of tonnes each. On the Cannons side, Mike had a great night, 7 T+ scores & 3 wins, Graham with a classy 2 T+s and 2 wins, Jason with a steady 3 tons and 2 wins. These teams will face each other off one more time before the final, what will the result be next time?

Jockeys 12 v Mitchelton Mustangs 3 Match Stats

Well haven’t the Jockeys kept up their strong form with a solid win over the Mustangs 12 v 3. They came strong out the gate taking all 3 doubles games in the first round, and followed it up with 4/6 wins in the first singles round. The Mustangs took their first win middle of the second round thanks to Lindsey, and Nik followed it up to keep the Mustangs in the game, but alas it was all over in game 1, round 3. The Jockeys would take all singles games in the third round bar one! Good on you Nik, can’t let them have them all can we? Fantastic effort by all team members of the Jockeys – every member took a game win. Ultra classy performance as always by Newty and Ben, both with 8 T plus scores, 3 wins.  The Mustangs brought their sharp shooters for the night – Lindsey with a solid 7 T plus scores. The Jockey’s were too strong this time, but let’s see if the Mustangs can bounce back!

BNSDC – 2018 – Season 1 – Week 8

Premier League Round 8 Full Ladder

Scorpions 15 vs Peeping Toms 5 Match Stats

The five Scorpions piled up the wins and put themselves in second place on the ladder after We’re On ended Strays unbeaten run.

Glen won all 5 of his games with Brian (4 140s) and Scott (2 140s and a 107 peg) winning 4 times.  Bob had the best leg of the match with an 18 darter.

Three of the Toms picked up two wins on the night: Ross (2 140s) and Sam (1 140 and a 180) both won a doubles and a singles while Justin (3 140s) won two of his singles.

Dragoffs 11 vs Raptors 9 Match Stats

A cracker at Chermside which could really have ended in any of the three possible results.  With the match poised at 4-all Dragoffs pushed out to a 9-5 lead but it’s worth noting that the home side won 4 of those games in the deciding leg.  Even when they were on the brink the Raptors kept fighting, hauling themselves into contention at 10-8 down with the doubles to come.  Sadly the comeback fell short as Carlos (3 wins, 1 140) and Gabe (3 wins, 4 140s) stayed strong to grab the two league points that keeps them securely in 4th on the ladder.

The two remaining Dragoffs worthy of a mention with Blags winning 3 but Max best of the bunch with 4 wins and a massive seven 140s!

Once again Corey untouchable with 6 wins from 6, 3 140s, 2 180s and a 16 darter and Blades showing real Premier League class with 4 wins.  Nothing wrong with Dinga’s scoring as he fired in 3 140s and 2 180s.

We’re On 11 Vs Strays 9 Match Stats

We’re On ended Strays unbeaten start to the season with an 11-9 win at Mitchy FC.  As was the case earlier in the season the reigning minor premiers went out to a useful lead but this time they were able to close it out for the win that keeps them top of the table.

Aaron M threw good darts all night with 5 wins, 4 140s, a 180 and an 18 darter plus back to back 17 darters.  Horse fired in 8 140s and a 15 darter and Pas a 140 and a 15 darter with both men winning three times.

For Strays Frosty and Ciaran (7 140s, 16 darter) both won 4 times.  Dave, coming straight from the airport after a day working down in Melbourne, hit 3 140s, a 180 and low games of 18 and 17 darts before running out of steam.

Motley Mustangs 12 vs Imports 8 Match Stats

This result keeps things super tight in the lower half of the table with the bottom 4 teams separated by only a point.  With 6 weeks to go any one of them could make a push for finals contention but they will probably need to make a move soon.

Putting future events aside, this was a great win for the Motleys thanks in no small part to the efforts of Mick who won 5 from 5 and banged in 2 140s.  Willy also played a huge role with 4 wins from 5 and 2 140s.

Nev won 4 from 5 with 1 140 and Shane three times with 2 140s and the best finish of the night, a very tidy 122.

A GRADE Round 7 Full Ladder

Scorpions 18 vs Tossers 3 Match Stats

A big win for the B’s at home. John Ives showed his class with 3 wins, a 156, 18 darts and 16 dart games and 5 other ton up scores. Good darts for a Pom!!! All players seemed to strut their stuff on the night with Mr Hill winning 4 games, Shaun with a 160 and 3 wins, Grant determined as ever with 4 wins and 9 big scores, Tristan on song with 4 wins and 7 biggies and Joe helping out with 2 wins and 6 tons. An all-round sound team performance and will be hard to topple.

Poor old Tossers were put to the sword by a team on fire on the night. 23 Ton +’s by the team and highlighted by a win each to Patrick,9 big ones, Rob with 6 high scores and Daniel with 6 of the best.

Pinoy Darters 10 vs Nek Minit 11 Match Stats

Wow what a game of darts this must have been….the scorers and scribes were flat out by the looks of it. 81 tons or better from 2 evenly matched teams on the night.

For the Pinoy team Roger stood out again with 4 wins, a 180, an 18 dart leg and 15 other ton + scores. Great darts Roger. Other good games by Mel, 10 tons, Dom with 6 tons and 2 wins. A great first set of singles taking all 6 games but losing the second set by 5… oopsi….and then had to try and hold off a surge by Nek’s in the last set.

A game of two halves by Nek Minit saw a see-sawing affair in the first two singles rounds. A great fight back in the final singles just got it done. Daz had a 110 peg while Shaun pipped him with a 120 check out. Both top shots. All round a great team performance with 40 ton +s.  Mark & Danny with 8, Ben and Shaun with 7, Hilton and Daz with 5, while Ngawai was too busy keeping score it would appear!!!

Great round of darts by both teams.

Javelins 15 vs Dragons 6 Match Stats

Javelins jumped out of the blocks with 3-0 in the doubles and then 4 and 5 sets in the singles to seal the night. Peter continues to impress with 4 wins, a 180, and 7 other big scores. Tony chimed in with 3 singles wins while Luch and Brian had 2 wins each. A good solid match by the looks of it.

So it was the Paula and Connor show for the Dragons…. 6 ton +s and 2 wins for Paula while Connor smashed in 7 big scores and 3 x 2 nil singles wins. Mark had a 174 – well done, and Ben 3 big ones. Hard to overcome a solid team performance by the Jav’s though.

Gremlins 4 vs Seagulls 17  Match Stats

The gulls to strong tonight with a very sound win. 2 X 6-0 singles certainly put paid to any chance for the Gremlins. Standouts were Nigel with 11 ton+ scores and 4 wins, Christian with 8 x ton + scores and 4 wins, Gary had 3 wins and 7 biggies and Rudi chimed in with 8 ton + scores.

Gremlins were well off their best against a strong team here and did well not to lose by more. Steve had a night out with 8 tons but still couldn’t win a game…. Tough games. The newest member of the Gremlins, Garry seemed to fit in fairly well and will be an asset to the team in the future. Terry, in his only singles game of the night, had 4 tons and most importantly, defeated Anthony 2-0. Was a good night but for the result for the Gremlins.

Wildcats 9 vs Nemesis 12 Match Stats

Nemesis were down after the doubles but took 8 out of first 12 games of singles for a three game margin which they held until the end.  It was a solid team performance that got the job done from Nemesis but Ian (6 tons a 140) and Neil (3 tons) led the way with three wins apiece.  Two wins each for Ben (4 tons), Brendan (4 tons) and Alena.

For Wildcats Kylie again best of the lot with 4 wins and 4 tons with two wins for Nikki and Shaz, who hit 11 tons along the way.

B GRADE Round 7 Full Ladder

Cannons 7 v Wanderers 8 Match Stats

And the Wanderers finally come away with a win! Better late than never. This game was fought down to the last dart in the last game, with both teams at 7 v 7 and the last game went to 3 legs! There was a few nerves about! What a showstopper! Graham had a cracker night, 3 wins (both singles in 2) with a 140 and 2 tonnes. So did life member Snow, with his 3 wins and also both singles in 2. Lance and Gary had a solid night with 4 tonnes for the night, so the fight was on! The Wanderers came home with the goods thought and scoring the 2 points. Can they do it again?

The Links 8 v Jockeys 7 Match Stats

B Grade was definitely the place to be for some firecracker matches this week! The Jockeys fronted up to The Links prepared to deprive them of the chance to extend their lead in first place. And boy was it close! The Links kept their number one place though in B Grade after this round, and still proving to be top contenders for final season! The Jockeys got off to a great start though taking the first 2 doubles games, and followed with another quick 3 wins in the second round. Newty had a killer night taking his doubles, and the following 2 singles – what a champion! And Thommo helped the Jockeys advance with 4 tonnes including a 140, and the all important 2 wins including the first game in the third round. However, after that The Links come out with a vengeance! 4 wins went to father and son Kruger, with Rupen and Ben to follow. Newty kept The Jockeys in the fight, but it would come down to the last game between Ben and Brewster. The Links were just too good on the night, taking the 2 points and retaining their premiership position. Come on B Grade? Who’s going to take the 2 points from these guys?

BNSDC – 2018 – Season 1 – Week 7

The Toms with Kingy in their side have more strength and depth and they showed that at Mitchy FC with a thumping 17-3 win over the Motley Mustangs.

The home team spread the wins around with one singles each for Glen (a 140 and a 180) and Willy (2 140s) and a doubles win for Michael (a 180) & Stephen.  For the visitors it was indeed Kingy who led the way with 6 from 6 and three 140s.  All the Toms had a good night though with five wins for both Ross (4 140s) and Sam with Tim winning 4 times with 2 140s and a maximum in the mix.

Corey once again untouchable with 6 wins from 6 , six 140s and a 180 with 4 wins for Blades, who hit a 140 and a 180.  Dinga (3 140s) won twice but threw much better than that and regularly found a big score or a 50+ peg when he needed it.

Dave was top stray with 4 wins and a massive night of scoring with 7 140s and 2 180s.  Three wins each Jack (3 140s) and Ciaran (a 180).

Six from six for both Brian (3 140s, an 18 darter) and Scotty (4 140s and a 180) and five from six for Rod (3 140s and an 18 darter) and Bobby who ticked all four of the boxes with 2 140s, a 180, a 106 peg and a 15 darter.

A GRADE Round 7 Full Ladder

It’s what we want in A Grade, we want it interesting at the top and interesting at the bottom, and that is what happened this week. The teams dug deep and took some real pressure doubles taking games to the wire with 4 out of 5 games had a one point difference.

Seagulls 10 vs Nek Minit 11 Match Stats

Nek Minit took a 2-1 lead going into the singles, only to lose the next round 2-4, bringing the score to 4-5 to Seagulls. Nek Minit took out the next round 4-2 and held a slender lead going into the final round. Heading into a tight round, it started with Gary and Mark, with Gary picking up the one points for Seagulls to even the score. Hilton stepped up to the oche to take the win and then backed up by Ngawai picking up a crucial win against Christian. Seagulls came back with Banger sneaking a win off Daz and Nigel against Ben, the score was now all tied up. It turned out to be a show stopper between Shaun and Drew. Shaun took the first leg, Drew the second with the win eventually going to Shaun giving Nek Minit the win. Daz hit 140 and eight tons, Danny 140, Hilton 140 and 3 wins. Gary won 3 games, scored 2 140s and 5 tons, Drew 7 tons 2 wins. Banger with 6 tons and 2 wins and Nigel 140, 2 tons and 2 wins.

Gremlins 13 vs Nemesis 8 Match Stats

Gremlins picked up a home win on Wednesday night which started with a double wins for Ian and Steve and Jack and Terry. The next two rounds where pretty even with both team scoring 3-3. Going into the last round the score was 7-8 to Gremlins.  The Gremlins put the accelerator down and kicked up a gear to pick up 5 points to lead them home.  Ian scored the maximun wins for the night, 2 140s and 3 tons helped along with Jack scoring 2 140s, 2 wins and a 118 check out. For Nemesis Don also picked up maximum wins for the night, while Brendan hit 140 and 6 tons and a win each for Wes and Ian. A quiet night for Alena and Ben.

Wildcats 11 v Javelins 10 Match Stats

Did you hear that roar coming from the Brook on Wednesday night, that’s right the Wildcats have picked up their first win!  It got off to a flyer for the Wildcats leading 3-0 going into the singles. With the 2nd round won by the Wildcats it was handy 7-2 lead, it was going to be a mighty battle if the Javelins were going to win this game. Going into round 3 Javelins won 4-2 still the Wildcats were leading 9-6. The  last round was a pressure cooker Wildcats only needed 2 wins to walk away with the 2 points. Hugh and Pete picked up the first two wins, to now be one point behind, Vickii took her game to 3 legs and managed to come away with the win against Max. Keith then won the 4th game against Shaz but it wasn’t enough as Kylie sealed the win for the Wildcats. Pete hit 180, a massive 15 tons and 3 wins, while Kylie and Vickii each won four games.

Tossers 11 v Dragons 10  Match Stats

Another Chermside derby with the newly promoted Tossers up against their Chermside brothers the Dragons. Tossers got off to a good start going 2-1 up in the doubles, only to lose the next round which gave a slight lead to Dragons 5-4. Going into round 3 only Paula and Mark picked up wins for the Dragons which then handed the lead back to Tossers 8-7. The last round started with Tracy picking up a win against Cathy, then Paula beating Daniel and Ben beating Alan. Ever reliable Rob, who hit 140 and 10 tons for the night, scored a win to take his team to 10 and needing 1 point for the win. Connor and Kiana went to 3 legs with Connor picking up the point to even up the score 10 apiece. That left Paddy and Chaddo on the decider. Unfortunately, it wasn’t Chaddo’s night with Paddy coming away with the win. Paddy and Rob got the maximum wins, Daniel checked out on 112 and even did a 74 check out on the bull.  While Connor hit 140 and 11 tons, Mark hit 140 and 8 tons.

Pinoy Darters 10 v Scorpions “B” 11 Match Stats

Nobody was sure which way this was going to end.  It wasn’t going to be convincing win either, but the winner would have needed to work hard to take away the 2 points. There  was 102 tons thrown that night which included 180s by Joe, John Ives and Leo, Roger hit 18 tons, John Ives and Tristian hit 13 tons. I hate to see what that board looked like after that. What a massive achievement. Let’s get into the game, it started off with Scorpions going into the singles with a 2-1 lead before the lead changed in the next round with Mel, Roger, Bob and Leo picking up 4 wins. Heading into round 3 John Ives, John Hill, Joe and Tristan hit back and picked up 4 p which gave Scorpions a slender one point lead going into the last round.  Pinoy started the round with 3 wins to take them to 10 points and only needed one more in the next 3 games, but true to form John Hill, Joe and Grant dug deep and brought it home for the Scorpions. It was a good night and with some great darts thrown. Tristian high peg 158 and a 16 dart leg.

B GRADE Round 7 Full Ladder

The Links 12 v Wanderers 3 Match Stats

Well the Wanderers rocked up ready to redeem themselves from the last loss to The Links but it wasn’t to be! The Links again showed how strong they are and what contenders they are for the finals. Home side got off to a good start with 2 doubles wins but Christian and Lance got the Wanderers in the game with their doubles win. The Links followed up strong with 5 singles wins in the 2nd round, and another 5 in the last. Special shout out to Pieter with a stellar 3 wins and 3 tonnes, and Yash with 3 and 3 as well! Snow Royal made sure to take a leg off sharp shooter Nicky in the last round but The Links would prevail and bring home their win securely.

Cannons 11 v Mitchelton Mustangs 4 Match Stats

The Cannons are on a rroll! Are they going to be top contenders as well for the finals? Cannons had a great night with 11-4 against sharp shooters Mitchie Mustangs. They kicked off with a bang taking all double wins – BAM! And followed it up with a handy 3 more in the second round. Mustangs didn’t go down easy though, the lads stepped up to the plate and fought hard for their 3 wins in the singles round. Great performance from Richo (2 wins, 4 tonnes) cool under pressure as always. Shout out to some stand out performances from the Cannons – Jason with one hundred and eighhhhhhhtttyy (and 3 wins to back it up), and 3 straight wins for Alan and Mike! Way to go Cannons – look out The Links!

BNSDC – 2018 – Season 1 – Week 6

Premier League Round 6 Full Ladder

Scorpions 8 vs We’re On 12 Match Stats

This one would be the top flight’s biggest clash at the moment: first versus second in the league which just happens to be last year’s minor premiers versus the overall champions.

Both teams had similar records coming in but it was WO who started quickest going out to 7-1 lead.  It would be crazy to write of either of these sides and when Scorpions got the deficit down to 8-6 with the last round of singles to come it looked like going to the wire.  The visitors had other ideas however and won 3 from 4 to get over the line with the doubles to spare.

BA in great form with 4 wins from 5 including all 3 of his singles.  He also put a tick in every box with 2 140s, a 180, a 15 darter and a 134 peg.  Next best Scorpion was Glen (2 wins, 3 140s) while Scotty hit a 16 darter.

None better on the night than Pas (3 140s) with his 5 wins although Aaron W not for behind with 4 wins and 6 140s.  Three time winners were Aaron M (2 140s) and John (2 14s and 18 & 17 dart legs).

Motley Mustangs 9 vs Dragoffs 11 Match Stats

This was a match where both sides grabbed games in bunches and the end result was that neither could really take control.  In the end it cam down to the doubles with Dragoffs holding a slender 10-8 lead.  This became 10-9 thanks to the efforts of Willy (4 wins, 2 140s) and Stephen (4 wins, 1 140, 1 180) before Dragoffs finally secured the 2 league points courtesy of Carlos (a best on show 5 wins, 4 140s, 2 180s, an 18 darter) and Gabe (4 wins, 1 140) while Blags won twice hitting 3 140s and a 180.

Peeping Toms 10 vs Raptors 10 Match Stats

A staggering 13 of the 16 games of singles went to the deciding leg so both sides probably feel they had the chance to win it.  The Raptors held 5-2 and 8-6 leads before the Toms picked up 4 of the last 5 to get to 10-9 ahead.  It was fitting that the last game of doubles should go to the deciding leg and it was Corey and Mark who nicked it to earn a share of the points.

Ross (3 140s and an 18 darter) and Sam (5 140s) picked up 4 wins each and Justin (4 140s and a 180) three.

Corey’s continues to show he’s one of the best throwers in the comp with a doubles win, 4 singles wins hitting 4 140s, 2 180s, a 171 and a 102 peg.  Mark won 3 times and hit 3 140s.

Strays 13 vs Imports 7 Match Stats

The Strays were one short on the night and were grateful to Ben from Nek Minit who agreed to step up and give it a crack.  His contribution in the doubles ensured that it was 1-1 heading into the singles and at this point the home team put the foot down and powered to a 5-1 lead and never looked back.

Shane (7 140s and a 180) and Matt (1 40 and an 18 darter) both won 4 times for Imports.

For Strays Dave won 5 times and hit 5 140s and a 180 with 4 wins each for Jack, 2 140s, and Banz, 3 140s, an 18 darter and 2 110 pegs.

A GRADE Round 6 Full Ladder

Tossers 7 v Pinoy Darters 14 Match Stats

Another derby encounter this week, derby matches are always intense affairs within shared premises and this was no difference. It was always going to be one of the matches of the season with both tons machines going hard, but of course it was dependent on where the Captains play you. It didn’t happen until the last round with Rob and Roger going head to head. Taking it to three legs it was eventually Rob who was impressive and came up with the point, unfortunately it wasn’t enough to pick up the two points for the team.

Roger was steady as always, hitting a massive three 140s, two 121s, 12 tons, 19 dart leg and high peg 74, this was a brilliant individual performance. Mel is finding his form with four wins and one 140, and 8 tons. Edgar and Dom (one 140) also notched up four wins for the night ot make a solid performance by the Pinoy Darters. Rob with 120, 125, five tones, 3 wins and 18 dart keg was also a massively impressive performance. Paddy knocking three 140s and Daniels 108 check out, certainly made entertaining games to watch.

Scorpions “B” 10 v Seagulls 11 Match Stats

Matches this season have been so close with several games so far being won by one point, this reflects how close the competition is going to be in this division. The top of the table clash between Seagulls and Scorpions lived up to all expectations. The two sides went head to head and toe to toe for some fiercely contested matches of which there was never more than 1 point between them after each round. The win will see the Seagulls remain unbeaten and move to the top of the ladder. Making life awkward for his opponents was Drew collecting four wins from four and Gary three wins out of four. While on the other side John hit seven tons, Tristian and Grant each hit 10 tons and all picked up three wins under their belt or are they shorts?

Nek Minit 17 v Wildcats 4 Match Stats

The Wildcats struggling season continues and yet on preivous weeks they have come so close. On this occasion however it was a one-sided affair with Nek Minit going along doing their business. Shaun’s eight tons, Mark’s  five tons and Hilton’s four tons each picked up the maximum wins for the night. While Danny assisted with his three wins.

Kylie hit the highest peg out for the night with treble 20, 14, double tops. Great effort and nice to watch. While the girls couldn’t fire Nikki still managed six tons, Kylie five 100+s.

Nemesis 7 v Javelins 14  Match Stats

Nemesis held a very slender lead of a solitary point going into round 2. A controlled performance by Javelins saw them come up with the win and 2 points. Pete, Bryan’s with five 100+s, and Max provided dominance with three out of four wins that put the game beyond doubt. A solid performance by the whole team. Nemesis were unlucky at times as they battled hard with multiple singles games going to a third leg decider. Nemesis not up to their usual standard still provided highlights by Dons six tons, 140 and Brendan three wins for the night.

Gremlins 12 v Dragons 9 Match Stats

The Gremlins picking up their first win for the season provided a steady performance that will provide confidence going forward. Alex scored maximum four wins for the night and Terry three. They should both been satisfied with their standard of darts as well as the new team coming together. The Dragons after winning two out of the three doubles matches couldn’t capitalise on the singles round, still Connor managed to hit a 17-darter game to make his presence felt as well as scoring two 140s. Mark also hit two 140s and Cathy with one 140.

B GRADE Round 6 Full Ladder

Jockeys 10 v Wanderers 5 Match Stats

Cracking night had by all at West Mitchie for this game. Historically, the Jockeys routinely come out on top out of this match up but the Wanderers normally steal 5 matches, and tonight was no different. Both Pat and Ian had a great night, winning all of their matches. Lance and Dave won their 2 matches of the night and helped to avoid the Wanderers getting a pantsing. Notable mentions to Gary (2 x 140s and a win), Lance (115, 105, T and 2 wins), Christian (“Christine”)(T, 114) getting stronger every game, and Tim taking the last game of the night in 2 legs – another Wanderer climbing the ranks. Fun was had by all, but Jockeys were too strong on the night and sealed a solid 10 v 5 win. Well done Jockeys!

Mitchelton Mustangs 5 v The Links 10  Match Stats

The Links are continuing to prove themselves and hold top rank in the B Grade so far this year. They started out strong, taking 2 doubles wins (Ben & Antoinette, Rupen & Pieter) and followed up strongly in the second round with 4 solid wins. The Mustangs killer combo Graham and Richo took their double, and went on to take wins again in the second round, but The Links were on a roll and took the win early in the third round. Special mention to Richo and Pieter taking all 3 game wins on the night. Shout out to Nik with a 171 – what a legend! And Graham with a 111 finish, close to top peg 116 off Pat Wilson’s from the Jockeys, but not enough to take the lead just yet! Great night for Rupen also with a solid 6 tonnes and 2 wins.
